Finally it's out

i haven't seen this version yet, but i've seen the one leaked in some asian forums, and that one is really bad recorded, lets hope this one is not that one.

Its true, subs are cut off to make it pretty much unreadable (less you only wanna pick up half of every sentence). But as for quality and quickness of Jet Li's next and biggest film, great job. Supposedly this wont be released in the states for awhile.

This is a great film, search around there's a better copy floating about. My aunt lives in Hong Kong, sends me silvers (Electronically of course) occasionally of movies she thinks I like. The copy she sent me of this is 10X better than this shit, come HkM surely you can do better, don't release anything this bad and you won't lose respect people have for you.

PS. AND before any group member's read this and mail me I'm not intrested in supplying silvers the scenes splitting at the seams with them already.

PPS. If I ever got anything truly amazing I'd just pass it throught to TCF or UTI or at a push ESO.

I've been waiting for the rls of this movie for almost 12 months since i read about it in, of all places, Time magazine, whilst I was sitting in, of all places, a Starbucks in Kuala Lumpur. Zhang Yimou is one of my favourite directors, since Raise the Red Lantern. Occasionally, the jpegs are enough to give the game away. Unfortunately, this is one of those occasions.

I'm sure there are better silvers out there.

I'm not bitching about the group, they're great between my aunt them & chinatown I'm sorted. Just saying there is a better vcd floating & this copy is not worth bothering. It is a forum about quality isn't it?

Guven this groups great track record I find it odd that they released this shit. Kind of out of character.

I find it hard to find there releases normally although it's only the more mainstream I enjoy. A bit of a corporate whore really.

Since this is an Asian movie, premiering in Asia first, and since its only recently had a LIMITED Asian release, with many countries not getting it until early next year, and the west later in the year (unless the Oscar buzz its getting makes them rush it out), then I choose....

Maybe you got confused and saw the PDVD, or got it confused with another movie (Jet made The Enfocer aka My Father Is A *HERO* years ago) but no way is this out on retail.

this looks like a messed up blocky copy. look at the view its too close in with a blurry black crocked bar at the bottom. not in widescreen format but a full screen chinese flick.

i saw mad chinese people in one day at a computer show. i was lookin for some VCDs or SVCDs or PDVDs or any copies of LOTR 2. i did go to a computer show today and saw pakc of 100 CD-Rs that had 790 mb of space on it.

nice one reverend, just to tell you the silver for this film isnt out yet. Have you heard? It was privately premiered at China a couple months ago (for the oscar entry). And when they were in theaters they check every audience and make sure nothing like cam or anything gets in. Even the cam version took this long to come out, you can imagine when the DVD silver will.

And I made sure with my friends over in mainland and hongkong too. They said it's not out yet.

Though i could be wrong, you can just post a screenshot of the "10x better quality" to prove it

yeah man, thats very true. i too have relatives in china main land, and none them has said anything about Hero silver, as he said we could be wrong, but if you want to prove us wrong, post a screen shot of the so called 10X better, i'd love to see it...
