Freddy versus Jason--you decide, who will kick ass?

Here are some preview shots of this upcoming, I would say blockbuster, and yes Robert England is reprising his role as Freddy.

Also here is some spoilers from new movie, coming to theatres, June 13, 2003

In the new issue of Rue Morgue sporting House of 1000 Corpses on the cover, I found a nice article with some plot spoilers from Ronny Yu and Robert Englund, check em out if you dare!!!

BIG TIME SPOILER's AHEAD

"Freddy tricks Jason into helping to free his soul, using Jason's mother as a lure. When Jason finds out that he's been tricked, he's determined to destroy Freddy. It's personal: you dont mess with Jason's mother. Basically, the game is: when Jason gets into Freddy's nightmare world, Freddy can dominate, but when Freddy's in Jason's reality world, here on earth, there's no protection for him and Jason can kick ass."

Rue Morgue continues the plot from here, "Freddy vs Jason opens at Camp Crystal Lake, (originally said to open on Elm St.) where Jason rises from his underground grave, only to be confronted by the ghost of a weakened Freddy, who, while pretending to be Jason's mother, strikes the Faustian bargain with Camp Crystal Lakes most famous resident...."

Robert Englund elaborates, "We learn the mythology of these characters, (from one of the original scripts from 1997?) Greek kind of shit. What their dreams are like and what makes them tick."

Good news concerning Jason's "Phantom of the Opera" like actions from Jason himself, Kirzinger, "You're not going to see a tear falling down his mask, nothing like that. No we're going to show Jason's spectrum in movements, a ceratin kind of walking, his actions..."

A final thought by Ronny Yu says, "They (New Line) wanted something fresh and new. I see Freddy vs Jason not as a sequel, but as a new beginning."

ewww end them now... as for either of their last movies .. A new nightmare blew badly however jason x was actually kinda enjoyable.. I could care less about these 2 just give me Aliens Vs. Predator

This movie actualy sounds interesting, I'm a big horror fan so I watch pretty much everything I can get my eyes on, I'm definetly looking forward to this one.

I seriously doubt there will be a clear cut 'winner' in the moive, but i think Jason could kick Freddy ass. Freddy is kind of a wimp, and he's only tough in his little dream world. but Jason, he's just a good old fashion can of whup-ass with an axe.

Michael Myers could own them both though ;]

this movie is going to be good no matter if i hate it or not.. cause goddamnit.. ive been waiting on for a damn decade..

and for people dissing new nightmare.. new nightmare was actually one of the good sequels.. they took it and did something different with it..
and the guy that said jasonX was enjoyable... let me know where you buy your weed.. cause aparently it makes shitty movies better..
ill smoke some of that shit and watch kung pow then maybe i can give darkslide some respect

If Freddy versus Jason takes place sometime now (ie. 2003), and Jason was awaken 500 years in the future in Jason X, that means Jason wins, because he has to be alive to captured and frozen, and then awaken 500 years later, right?? Which means this movie takes place before Jason X. Or after?? (remember Camp Crystal Lake scene at the end of Jason X, when his mask falls in the water).

I hope so! That movie wasn't money in the bank at all, and yet I have the DVDScreener burnt.

Meh It wasn't that bad but i'm glad I never payed for it.
