Please... Dont Judge the FUCKING JPG!!! Grab The Sample From one of Those "Friends" of yours... 7/8/7 (for what it is... a DvD)... Looks Like It Was Not Mastered Properly By The Production Company... Ill Be Sticking With My TwC *TC* For Now!!!

Posted by Chewsmoka on 05-22-2003 06:29 AM:

Nice quality video, good sound, and judging from *just* viewing the sample, a good release from UTi.

8/8/?

-- Also noticed a slight grain on the PC using powerdvd.. probably not as noticeable on an actual DVD player.

Bad quality for a dvd source but that's not UTi's fault I guess, we have another transporter-like fiasco on our hands.. Now hopefully someone will release a good clean r1 properly mastered rip which is in high demand. Will TCF pull through again or will someone else fill this empty void 6/9/7

You avoid my point... I was talking about you not watching the sample before you posted... No way to properly judge a rls from a still picture... and maybe you need to structure your sentance to where it is actually understandable...

After watching both samples and closely looking at them, there is no real winner yet. Although I personaly think that most DVDRips done right blow telecine out of the water. Even though it could have been better, I think maybe people are being a bit harsh on this release?

Just my $.02

if u look in the release dir u can see they have the scans of the original dvd but i guess u didnt even bother to look in the dir let alone download the sample

It's better than the TWCiso release, who inexplicably used vcd instead of svcd on a near-dvd source, and the nfo was better still. Biggest difference is the sharpness of picture & richness of colors. Appears to have originated from the same, high-quality PDVD source (if not Shock's actual copy). Either way, for a movie that's less than five weeks old, this is a fantastic release. If you can't get/can't burn the DVD-R, this is the one to get.

I'm sorry but I watched this whole release and have the whole twciso release too. The TC is just as good as this supposed dvd rip. Those cover scans do nothing to convince me that this isn't a pdvd. I'd take the TC over this just to save the bandwidth and HD space. I'm usaully all for SVCD but this looks fine in VCD.

If people still claim this is DVD I rate 6/6/6

this might be a pdvd or not but it has no cig burns so its most prob not a telecine and all the dvd import sites are selling this version as HK original so im assuming they are all selling prirate dvds at the end of the day i dont really care its oki quality not the best out there but like alot of r3 dvds

lol.. go raiden..
use glFTPd boy, tis the way to go...
lol.. raiden

Its obvious that this is a Pdvd, considering there are a few Cigarette burns on the top right. The little circular outlines, that look like a cigarette burn. Those of you who have seen fight club know exactly what I'm talking about. Also the color is very dark in dark scenes and too bright in Day light scenes. All in all its pretty good quality, but not a DVD rip, definately a really good TS or converted to PDVD, then to SVCD. But thats just my opinion.

5/7/8

Defo not a DVDRip IMO from the white balence of the camera makes the daylight scenes very bright! too bright for a retail release! But its a damn good telesync!

rating as a telesync

9/8/7

This is the only version that I've watched, but I've got to say - that if this is really a dvdrip - it's the worst i've ever seen....

Daylight scenes a WAY to bright....
I wouldn't rate this above 6/?/?

Posted by MichaelB on 06-01-2003 12:27 PM:

I don't know if it's a telesync, (I've had it for awhile just too lazy to register) looks possibly like a telecine, but it sure as hell isn't a dvdrip not even pal is that bad, UTi sure are desperate lately.
