i really don't understand their problem.

I'm a big fan of loads of stuff, and the earlier i can get it the better.

i still buy things/go to see them if they're worth it, so they still get the money. the only way getting a prerelease can be bad for something is if that thing's crap in the first place, then you don't have to spend a fiver to find out it's crap.

Hmmm, they closed it. I read the whole thread, i was bored . The thing they dont understand is the movie companies make a lot of money on the dvd. So even if it doesn't make a whole lot in the box office, there will be lots of money made from dvd sales and rentals.

Yeah if i dl something i usually buy it. Like if i dont go to the theatre to see a movie(Couldn't got for wrong turn, italion job, and nemo) i'll most likely dl it, but if it's good enough i have no problem spending $10-$20 to buy the dvd(point in case, i saw die another day in theatres, downloaded the dvd scr, and bought the dvd a few days ago)

i heard people whining about it not making money cause the workprint got online before the movie came out/

signs workprint got online about a month or so before it was released... watched it, loved the movie...good flick... notice the movie did very very well in the theater? yep.

and I didnt even go to the theater to see it again

He is right if i see a pirated movie and it is good I will see it in theaters and if it is really good ill buy the REAL DVD....and unless the copy i have is different then the REAL DVD then i will throw my pirated copy away...Like Signs,,i through that away it came out on DVD because i bought it...same as Spiderman...which both i saw in theaters....Recently i have spent over $200 in the past 1 month-3 months going to the theaters to watch movies...i think i deserve a free movie here and there...especially after seeing Malibus Most Wanted...I mean what is worst Pirating a Movie OR sneaking into a movie?? Because i could tell you how many time my friend let 20 or so people into a theater at once...This is stupid...Let US be and we can Let YOU be...isnt that right????

I say fuck the movie industry. Do they really need to give actors 20 million dollar pay checks? Do they really need hundreds of people doing production on the movie ? (we have all seen the credits now havn't we?) I say if they want to lose less money they need to start putting in less money. If their is less money put into higher production films guess what actors and such will start lowering their pay demands. Making movies more affordable also in the process because I don't like spending 9-18-27 dollars to watch a movie (numbers 9 for one person 18 for 2 27 for 3). I say they need to figure out their own problem and not blame it on others.

I almost replied to that thread, however i decided not the enter a discussion as some of them 'seemed' to be a little narrowminded, besides i know little about the hulk and im not very fond of any of these comic book turned film productions.

I say 'seemed' because i am sure they are not, however we all know how die hard fans can be. As a die hard fan of something you can usually be just one of two things when its comes to piracy.
Either you are overjoyed by the oppertunity to see something before the general population, and in the case of early workprints you may even get to see it with an alternate sound track or scenes that have been changed/deleted ect.
Or you are irritated and angered by it. It proves very hard to change these views of such people in both cases as to be a diehard fan is the belief & love in the concept. To take away a persons beliefs no matter how right or wrong they may be is to take a part of them. Which they will defend regardless.

Edit: as for the large salaries of actors/actresses. It is my belief that these should not be definate before the movie is in the BO. Perhapse some kind of system that is definate on a much lower amount to begin with, and some sort of pre arranged bonus if the film does well as sort of a reward for there efforts and the films success.

I agree with the comment made about them just being a bunch of losers who just wanted to see it first, and the fact that they'll never have any idea where to get the workprint offends them to no end.

Pho i agree with you... the trailers in no way make me want to see this movie. Imo the hulk looks like crap. However my roommate saw it at the theater and said that the trailers make the movie look shitty while in fact it is awesome, so i might swallow my pride and go see it anyways
