From Sample, video is dark, grainy and pixilated. Audio is nearly perfect DTS. Movie is awful.

This is the "Exact" same silver as COBRA's, only difference between the two was COBRA's was MPEG1 (VCD TS) .. how it shoulda been. This one was MPEG2 (SVCD TS) .. waste of bandwith , space & time.

For those who think it doesnt have bad AR , half the screen is clearly missing exactly like the other two copies out there. So now we got the same silver 3 times in 3 different formats.

btw , notice the guy bottom right unnuking that , thats the same wonderful people who nuked TEG's DVDScr (same day for mislabled tc) , nice nukers in the scene.

also bottom picture shows with letters filled in how much is missing from the screen

As a SVCD TS (when already same copy out as vcd ts)

IRC_Moviefan exactly sums up the problems with this 3rd incarnation of the same poor, cropped and tilted silver above, not much else to say.

The decision to make this SVCD is beyond me. Good DTS audio is present, but for what? Cobra's had that on VCD format.

Video - same as before.....

Audio - nice DTS but frankly wasted on this rls.

COUGH* Yes there is a very slight tilt, Yes it is slightly cropped on all 4 sides, there is full screen capabiity but pic is bad that way. Not recommended for burning. If seen at original size or double, the pic is great. The sound is Just fine. The commercials make it seem better than it is. If watching on the pc at original size I'd give it a 7/8/7

IRC_Moviefan pretty much covered everything. If u dont believe it, download the .rar on cd1 and see for yourself. If your gonna do a svcd.ts ... dont use the exact same source as a previous horrible vcd.ts ... and honestly it looks even worse than COBRA's.

This video gets a better rating then most may give it. The picture is clearer than most TSs and the colors are nice. Others can slam it, but since there isn't much to choose from and other grps releases aren't easy to come by. I can watch this and enjoy it. Sound is good too.

8/9/6 I'm a Wes Craven Fan, but with the supporting cast this film had it should have been better written.

As far as missing half the picture...I mean how many times do we have to say it. Its bootleg not the real dvd. You can't always expect a perfect aspect ratio.

Looks like you have been around awhile. Most people lately are new and are only used to Silvers so vote on Silvers. The only reason i question your high rating is cause i have been around awhile now since ONS, TEG, VERiTY, TCR, Centropy, UTi, InR, LoGiStiC, VideoCD, NEWFXP

Over the years i have seen all the various TELESYNC's. All the TS's nowadays even Centropy's dont deserve 9's , mabey the sound but definatly not the picture. I rate my releases (vote) on vcdquality compairing it to how i have seen past telesync's over the past years.

"The Scene" , mainly the CAM/TELESYNC part is overcome by Silvers last few months since the actual DV Cam grps are selective on releasing.

Its quite obvious ... i dont watch/like silvers , they glitch , their dark , they flicker, colors bleeding, their blurry and most the time either barley watchable or unwatchable.

Yes i understand TELESYNC's arent "DVD" Source and i dont expect that. If you been around for awhile , which im sure you havent people's standards on TELESYNC's sure have dropped.

Try and get ahold of TELESYNC's from 2 years ago, and then compair them to "Cursed" which you just voted 8 for on a picture and then you will understand my comment. All these silver movies at best deserve a 6 for picture , compaired how telesync's can be.

I miss enjoyable TELESYNC's and unless an actual DV Cam grp releases now , i just view rars to remind me why i dont watch silver and wait for a possible TELECiNE or Screener.

This post btw mod'z isnt a bash but to wake people up , their voting 8's , 9's on horrible Silver movies, when if they seen a real TELESYNC they would understand what this.

Nice post and i've been around for awhile. This is definitely a cropped, dark and pixely silver to me. And does NOT deserve an 8 for Picture by any means. ONLY, a true homemade SVCD TS from the likes of the greats of OLD:
When the SCENE L33T pres of VideoCD, UTi, TCF and Centropy did there Tuesday after theatre release damn fine copies. Matrix 2 comes to mind and Spiderman both excellent damn SVCD TS of yester year. Groups like Centropy and VideoCD were NEVER about winning the race. The always stressed Quality over Quantity, and U knew b4 u even checked the sample that 9x outta ten. You were getting the best that the SCENE had to Offer.
Of course there was the issue of the boom mic dropping in from above, but man i miss the good ol days.
All the new groups get NYC silvers and even Subbed cams from overseas, shudder the thought. The scene is slipping but who can blame em when most ppl wouldnt know a good pre if it bit em in the ass. Its all about first to the scene and sloppy thrown together garbage mostly. I still give PROPS to anyone that tries dont get me wrong. I just miss the Excellence of a couple years ago. MEGA PROPS go out to TUN as well, there Telecines just keep getting better and better and i remember when ppl were always hating on em. Well all i have to say is Quality and Respect persevere.

Anyway, as for this film:

The opening frame with the credits shows just how angled to the right this release is.
The sound is nice of course because any damn group can get a DTS theatre source disk these days, but i'm still gonna hold out and wait for a better release.
However, if U must see this now. The movie is watchable. Which is more than i can say for some of the other films preing these days. IT makes u really appreciate what we had when VideoCD, UTi, TCF and Centropy kept giving it their BEST every time out.

From the Sample:

6 (Pic is dark and grainy and angled to the right just watch the opening sequence.
8 DTS Audio of Course
? Awaiting a better PRE i hope.

8/9 is completely stupid for this release, which is basically a dupe anyway, theres no need for an SVCD of a silver with this quality.

audio is spot on, nice work on that. video is croped to heck. you can notice this from the beginning with the text. same silver as every other release. as for the movie, anyone know how to get back two hours of my life? wes craven might be the king of scare movies, but this one aint it....

I used to say that there was nothing a TMPGEnc filter couldn't fix, but I was wrong.

There is no such thing as an "Add Cropped-Out Picture Elements" filter.

Whilst the filtered video actually came up quite nice, there really was no point doing so when so much of the source frame is missing, and I have to congratulate IRC_Moviefan for pointing out just how much that is. Unfortunately, my gf wanted to see it baaaaaad, ffs, so...

Anyway, the audio is typical TS quality.

The movie blows goats.

Once again I disagree withh the 5 ratings and give this a solid 8. We also thought this was a very good horror comedy. Burned to dvd-r for my ones to save category. Personally I was more involved in the movie than constantine. Imagine that. I paused the movie for my beer and piss breakes,that does not happen often when we watch flicks with my pals.Otherwise I still think some may only enjoy these releases by going to the theater for one reason they have the best release.
