unfinished

Yeah it is still missing a lot of CGI, some post loop dialog, and probably some scenes, but it was really entertaining that way.

While I'm sure I'll see the full movie, it was pretty damn funny watching some of the scenes with missing effects. There was a particularly hilarious scene early on with really really bad clouds drawn in the sky, and a really bad plane crash in the intro that cracked us all up.

One scene where it showed Sabretooth with his claws on a window with two lines pointing at two fingernails and a note that said grow was pretty funny as well.

The proper probably has nothing to do with the movie content and just has a quality issue repair. The one I watched was pretty blocky in a couple spots, but it was definitely worth a watch. This one looks better.

I hope the finished movie is a little longer and more fleshed out.

It's STILL a WORKPRINT no matter which group's name is on it.

Good on the tech flaws fixed.

V - 7
A -7
M - waiting to see it in theatres

p.s. seems this thing getting out there's got the media all a flutter

Posted by s01o on 04-02-2009 08:03 PM:

It's a workprint quit complaining. This doesn't hit theaters for a month and people are crying about missing CGI.
If you can't deal with a workprint wait another 2 months for the R5.

This release seems nicer than the other 5+ versions floating around.

V-8 Missing CGI doesn't kill the movie use your imagination
A-8

FBI just raided NN Fibernet and confiscated a shit load of servers while looking for the source of the workprint release.

People are commenting on the missing FX as a heads up to others. The only one complaining here is you.

Posted by walpurgiss on 04-03-2009 02:07 AM:

Yeah we really enjoyed the missing cgi parts, it was pretty funny, entertaining, and at the end there was a part that was like an insight into how they 'do' things.

We thought it was pretty cool, though not as funny as seeing the Copy Pasta bubble around Neo in the Matrix jump scene that was not only in the theatrical release, but on the DVD, the boxset DVD, the HDDVD, and never got fixed.

just to reitterate...Workprint:
A workprint is a copy of the film that has not been finished. It can be missing scenes, music, and quality can range from excellent to very poor. Some WPs are very different from the final print (Men In Black is missing all the aliens, and has actors in their places) and others can contain extra scenes (Jay and Silent Bob) . WPs can be nice additions to the collection once a good quality final has been obtained.

I won't watch this releases, because I don't want to spoil the movie.
At least we'll have a good LiNE for TS and R5, except those 14 minutes.

Cables still attatched too in some scenes lol But still worth the watch though if ya can't wait.

Posted by jay2 on 04-03-2009 08:46 PM:

Well, there's really no point in watching this work print, the feel of the movie is serously flawed because it's incomplete

But I've scored it anyway

v.9 (logos and time lines shown).
a 10 (flawless).
M. can't rate this because it's not done, (14 mins and S/effects missing).
looking like a 9.

X-Men origins

Rated as a workprint

Audio: 9
Video: 9 (as a workprint)
Movie: 8

This is a good story that is as least as good as the first two X-men instalments. There are some slight inconsistencies with the Wolverine story from the other instalments. This movie will be terrific when the CGI and other incomplete parts are finished. I will look forward to seeing it in the theaters.

I wouldn't d/l this if you don't want to spoil the story if you plan to see it in the theater.

Thanks to the poster. I enjoyed it even as a workprint.

For all the above users that explained what a WP is, thanks, but apparently there are still people who dont know how to read other posts... so in vain, here we go again... workprints can be missing audio, scenes, fx... thats a workprint... we know theres missing fx, stop saying that its incomplete... as a WP its complete as it gets.... tards

http://www.vcdq.com/index.php?page=faq#1 (its in the first post... it always has been... if you dont know what a TS, TC, WP etc is... read it, dammit, stop making yourselves look like mungas)

So following your own "logic", why did you bother to rate audio and video? A DVD source is a DVD source and they should all be the same, right? Does that make you a 'tard too?

Since a workprint can be all or none of the things you cited above, comments let people make a decision to d/l.

See how clear everything is when you just take the time to fire up a couple of neurones?

Looks pretty.

V-8.5
A- (Didn't have the speakers on at the time of previewing it, but if it is the same exact audio as the first release, it's great: 8.5)

It was a great first release. The last main fight scene was heavily missing fx and it was a tad confusing as to what was going on but you could still understand it. I watched it on my psp after conversion and quality was good. As mentioned cables were seen in some scenes but it added more than it took away from the movie. We got a bit of insight into how it was made.

Neurons...
I rated the video because in my copy there was a video stream... I rated the audio because in my copy there was also audio.... quite clever when u think about it... see how clear everything becomes when you fire up a couple of neurons?

I also rated the video on quality of the method available, not for the scenes that were missing as this is taken as granted, same for the audio... now the quality, or values i assigned to quality are based on my lifetime experiences of whats possible in a release... and in case you need more detail, my outlook in life probably also had a hand in how i rated the release... this would have been created by my social upbringing from childhood until today creating a list of positives and negatives in my id (or ego/outlook) ... what i wanna know is why you brought psychology and philosophy into a simple thread about rating a release... youre mad.. :P

Last but not least... by your logic if you put a TS onto a DVD then rip it is the source then DVD? Im bored of you and your sillyness

better than the other copies floating around. It is interesting to see but it might spoil it for those really interested in seeing the finished product.

xmen wolverine

i looked at the ratings that people have been giving the new xmen, and thought that it must be a good copy. for the first ten minutes wasnt wrong then things go badly wrong. the film hasnt been edited the special effects are still in studio mode they havent been finished to make them look real. you will have to watch to understand. sorry for been negative but its a waste of time

:: Dude, it's a workprint not the final copy :: ~L
