Late? 2 months before retail about the average time screeners appear, I think most of us are too spoiled by DVD Screeners but remember that it'll all be over soon and we're going to be back to these. And I doubt they'll be a DVD Screener for this, it won't be nominated for any oscars or golden globes. btw, great quality as expected and MUCH better than the VideoCD TC which I couldn't bare to watch. The video for that release was good but the audio sucked, a pet peeve or mine which renders a movie unwatchable (I should have stayed away from Maid In Manhattan but the GF forced me to dl that one, my ears bled).

yeah it's definitley late but they other cam and tele releases sucked so the quality should be respectible...

finally a good quality screener from our pals at TCF. i never got to see the TELECINE copy. i want to see this nice quality scr so when the dvd comes out ill know if i wanna buy it or not.

yay ive been waiting for a screener so far all of TCF SCREENERS NOT DVD SCREENERS keep me happy till RETAIL DVD it may not be the same for most people but most SCREENERS do keep me happy till im ready 2 buy the DVD and this is one of those screeners thanks TCF

wish people would at least check out the sample before posting. DVD SCR it may not be but not question this release is very high quality and whoops the hell out of the previous Telecine that was out. For anybody like myself who enjoyed this flick this is a great d/l. Retail DVD isn't out for a bit so more then acceptable release. Everybody is forgetting that these dvd screeners are a seasonal thing and wont be around much longer so dont bite the hand that feeds you steady quality releases.

Am I the only person who found this movie hellishly shite? We went round to my mates to watch a few films, bunged the telecine (I think) of this on and we didnt even bother putting the 2nd disc on. Hell, we watched BOAT TRIP instead.

No one said you did, I was referring to the fact that most dvd screeners get released extremely early compared to the majority of non-academy vhs screeners and also that others in this thread are mentioning the wait for a dvd screener which would most likely never appear for this film.

You mean the one with bad audio and heavy pixelation? One of the reasons why I almost killed myself when I also watched the TC of Maid in Manhattan.

Movie was average...not that great of a plot, but I laughed a few times...
I'm sticking with the VideoCD telecine though since theres no need for me to really see it again (movie wasn't worth watching a second time to me before a retail gets released)...but another release is always good, if you haven't seen it then pick up this copy of course...as for me...I'm waiting for the svcd retail...

i myself enjoyed the movie. i got exactly what i expected, a few laughs, little bit of action (nothing spectacular, but hey). i picked the movie up cuz the only other one i bothered with was the cam that was plagued with laughter throughout. my only gripe, and one i understand they couldnt help, is its fullscreen. i dispise fullscreen movies, lol. to me, its just not right unless its 16:9

Audio is good for a VHS screener, vhs screener vcds tend to have very poor audio for some reason. Video is more than acceptable but could probably be better, there are some artifacts. VCD is kinda picky with a noisy source like VHS and they might not have used loseless compression to capture it. Who knows, but it is good.
