House of the dead is based off the video game.

First release doesn't make it the best. Please don't subject yourself to the awfulness that is this movie.

The last 2-3 ESOTERiC i downloaded had no ending, i mean WTF!! So this one I downloaded CD2 first and checked it. OMG theres an ending. So I'm gonna watch this and not wonder what happened at the end. Good job ESOTERiC, keep endings alive!

from sample.....4.5/4.5/-1000......movie is horrible i cant believe i actually wasted my time at the theathers for this....one of the worst movies in long time...goes neck for neck with Gigli....

WTF, 4 Trailers at start.....

some 2 PAC trailer, Haunted Mansion, Resident Evil 2, and Alien Directors cut. Didnt think the movie was ever going to start.

Looks descent, not bad. Plot sucks but another zombie movie can't go wrong.

O.k heres an honest review. I dont know whats up with the first rating on the VCDQuality start page, but this movie is NOT a 4.7 video/ 4 audio, not at all.

Video - 7 - slighty blurry (very slightly) and good color. Video is cropped, but again, only slighty. Very similar in quality to the Out Of Time logistic, and it got a 8 rating on the start page.

Audio - 7 - Kinda hollow, like coming through headphones or something, but believe me, i've listened to worse. It is not that bad at all

Movie - ? - Cd2 is missing/corrupt R02, so i havent watched the ending yet. But its ok. One of those horror flicks thats not supposed to be funny, but it is. Lets remember, its idea came from the Sega video game, so what did you expect from it.

Yes this is based off the video game, please please do not get this peice of trash mixed up with George Romero's Dead trilogy movies. This isnt the fourth Dead movie, this is another game gone movie disaster.

I would have to say this movie in general looks like a fail.
Like resident evil this movie wont do good with reviews. But some how I beat this will end up "Canada's #1" they all seem too. Even tho lots of other movies end up like that.

Well I dont think ill watch this until it gets on tv and im bored.

Wow, talk about a waste of bandwidth to download, for multiple reasons. The Audio was the best part, it wasn't that great, a little hard to tell what people were screaming. The Video was grainy, but still watchable- nowhere near what some of their previous releases have been. As to the plot.. I'll rate it whenever I finally find it :/ What a horrid movie this is.

Nice, nice release ESO. Very colorful, bright-enough picture. Sound is "okay." I could have enjoyed 2 previews, but 4 (the re-release of ALIEN??) was toooo much.

You never know whether you're going to get good ESO or bad ESO. This one is "not bad ESO." 7/5/? And for speed? An A+, definitely.

Watched this release yesterday
Overall not bad.
Pic was clear and audio wasnt too bad.

Throughout disk 1 though a little jumpy like you was watching an old video tape. Disk 1 totally sucked though.
Disk 2 was a bit more interesting.

As for the movie itself. Hmmm could of been a lot lot better than it was.
Plot was interesting but not scary at all.

Fighting scenes were like slow motion as in the Matrix but quite entertaining. Looked true to the game although the game screen kept on appearing during gun battles. which I thought kinda sucked.

Ending leaves an opening for a sequel, but I honestly hope they dont bother.

From the sample the video is grainy and pixelated. Colors are ok, seems a little blurry too. Audio is hollow and not all that great. This isn't as good as the ums release, however the ums *proper* release(which i don't think it deserves) isn't that much better. If you can't wait and must have it now go with the inr release, which is the best of the 3, but far from good.
