Paycheck - SCREENER - TCF

Ok Full screen no noticeable pixellation and no signs of watermarks either.Although they should have chosen a scene other than the one they chose which is all slow moving so you can't make out if there is bad pixellation in fast sequences.

from sample

video 9
audio 10
film dunno yet will watch it later

will update post soon as i have watch full release

Looks nice, a double from TCF!

Stuck on you is nicer quality though.

Nice screener. Nothing wrong with the encode. Sound is perfect too. The movie reminded me of minority report, wouldnt say it's as good but it wasnt bad at all.

just got done with this ... pretty good quality, mos def better than the telesync's that I had holding off to watch 'cause I was praying the screener/dvd screener would come out.

Thanks to TCF for another quality release, at least this movie has a point and can keep me interested long enough to finish the movie. Video is decent, as is the audio ... what are you to expect, it's a VHS screener

Posted by allnighta on 03-04-2004 11:07 PM:

yep as again tcf do the shit lol
better than stuck on you for colors and pixalation
keep it coming peeps

My wife and I saw this in the theater and loved it, been hoping for a good release to come out, and the quality here is decent for a screener, I've seen better, but this will do for now. Just wish it was widescreen.

I agree on the sample, not the best scene choice. It would have been better to use a more high action scene to get a better idea since that's what most of the movie is.

3 words to sum up this encode...

Oh
My
God !

lol, this encode is probably one of the best ive seen for a VHS. Movie isn't all that good, just about holds my interest - but i've yet to see it fully so i'll watch CD2 later.
FS was a bit of a bummer, but not a major factor... Nice Supplier + Encode, but just a bit of a poor movie.

Still... so far from CD1.

9/9/6?

Nice Full Screen Vhs Screener. Typical TCF release. Nice Pic and Very Direct Sound. No watermarks or Black and White. Decent Movie. Not the best John Woo effort, but certainly not the worst.. Keep em coming TCF

I just got done watching cd1. So far, so good. Video is a little pizalated, but not too much. Audio is great. Even though it's a screener i didn't see any black/white scenes or anything like that. But one thing i did see is some hidden text. On cd1 at 49:41 mark for 10 seconds a hidden name is at the bottom middle, don't know if anyone noticed it. The text says lodgenet. Searching google it seems they get prerelease movies..hmm

although in this case it probably doesn't matter, it's obvious from your post that you didn't really know that. so, for the future, please use your head and, if you notice watermarks or anything like that, DO NOT MENTION THEM, TAKE SCREENSHOTS OF THEM, OR POST THEM IN A PUBLIC FORUM. the companies put those watermarks there for a reason, and the last things groups and their suppliers need are people trying to show how clever they are by pointing them out in rips (just in case the studio watchdogs happened to miss it themselves).

thanks.

Don't tell me what to do, you don't know me, i don't know you. Don't act like you know me. There's rules against posting if someone leaked something, and rules against posting if someone is in a group. There's no rule saying what company something was leaked from. This company probably has thousands of employees. If i helped narrow down the leak to thousands of people, so what? It's like narrowing down a leak to walmart. What would they do, interrogate every walmart employee? stupid

: he's got a fucking point tho. -pHo

Thumbs down Hosed Sound

They completely HOSED/scerwed up the sterio/surround sound and made it MONO. How could you do that to a screener copy??? You don't release a screener and make it telesync mono unless you are flat out LAZY to do it right in the first place...Pisses me off when they say it's a screener and botch it like this....DAMN!!

Snow

Posted by pseduonym1 on 03-06-2004 10:04 PM:

It's a hotel screener Snow, the tv at the hotel it was capped from probably only had mono outputs, it's an easy fix so who is really being lazy here?

As to lo.pro bitching at gosh for his statement keep in mind that not only the lodgenet employees suspects but also anyone who ever rented the movie thru the lodgenet service. The same goes for any On-Command screeners that pop up time to time.

On the movie 8/8/5 good job tcf! I prefer it to the dvdscreener since no b/w or scrolls. This will be a keeper til the dvdrip comes along.

that's why i said it probably didn't matter in this case. but it's obvious from the original post that he didn't even know what lodgenet was, and there are certainly other instances where it would be "narrowed down" a lot more by the serial or watermark.

also, it has to do with the timing. what if it had been released after the master was produced but prior to its actually being transmitted to anywhere that uses the lodgenet service? although i suspect that the single-frame HOTEL logo & similar things are added during transmission, i really don't know for sure, and i doubt many (if any) others here know, either. the odds are that the person commenting about it here in this forum would have no clue about the timeframes involved, and in the case i just described, i'll bet that the number of people who might have leaked the film would be drastically reduced.

my point is that there's absolutely no good reason to highlight such things, so why would anyone feel the need to?

as for there not being a "rule" about it, there doesn't have to be. use your head. why even take a chance that you're making it harder and more dangerous for those who are helping to bring everyone these movies?

one of the best Screener's ive seen for a while nice job TCF

video was very clear and full screen really made a difference! became a little blurred and pixelated during fast/explosion scenes but rest was fine.

audio perfect didnt hear any slips.

as for the film well.......... average sums it up. i didnt care for the the characters and the plot was very unbelieveable. but watchable none the less

Video is very nice for a regular VHS, would love to see more of these! Audio is just great, feels like dvd type audio. As for the movie it self.... It's is a good movie but doesn't get good until later on in the movie. Fun movie but could have been made better. Needed to capture you better in the beginning, but is just bearly good enough to keep you watching. I watch all of cd1 and part of cd2, Is getting really good so I will have to finish it just to see what happens. Worth watching most will enjoy, just won't win movie of the year/month.
