Wow, now I feel foolish for watching the TS just last week. What a big difference, this release has great video like you would prefer to watch with the audio being very direct and clean. The usual quality you expect from Pukka, thanks guys.

audio outta sync

in more than several parts in this movie, the audio is out of sync by at least 1/2 second.
it is quite noticeable.
therefore, i will wait for another copy.

i suggest everyone else do the same.

Out of sync all over the place. first disc after 35 minutes goes out of sync till the end of the disc. Disc two is worse, goes out of sync 25 minutes in for about 7 minutes, then back in sync for about 5 minutes only to go back out again until the end of the movie.

V - 10, perfect, no pixelation at all
A - 5, would have got ten if it hadn't been out of sync.

No offence, but it's pretty obvious when the lips are out of sync with the voices. but here's some things to watch out for if kung fu movie style lip sync isn't easy for you to notice.

disc 1 - time 36:06 the sound of Hannibal cleaning the sword blade, doesn't match up to movement of the cloth on the sword.

disc 2 - time 28:57 notice how the sound of the furnace door slamming shut while the door is still closing.

Not saying that the movie is totally out of sync, but it is in parts and that just ain't good. Hopefully someone will release a proper version.

Just finished watching this after converting to dvd. I cannot believe that someone would even mention the sync issues with this movie. They are so miniscule its silly....

V=9
A=10
M=7.5

Thanks Pukka for a nice release

Posted by jizzyjeff on 03-06-2007 06:32 PM:

sync issues are only miniscule if a layman doesn't notice them. If you notice that lips are out of sync with speech then you have a bad sync. as in this release.
[...] So you should at least rate the audio accordingly, 10/10 for audio that is NOTICEABLY out of sync is silly.

:: Don't rate other people's standards, oh and um... There is to be no mention of sources (regardless of how vague) on these forums. :: -L

Following Comments are about the movie post dvd conversion via winavivideoconverter:

Sync issues are minimal to me and able to be overlooked since they were only out of sync by milliseconds. But to each his own i did not pay for this and very much deem this viewable FOR ME. Each person has there own standards for quality I ain't paying for them so i am able to overlook it. A audio that is out of sync by a hair or by serveral sentences is still a sync issues so argueing degree is a waste since it is in the opinion of the viewer the severity of it. So in the immortal words of Shakespeare "Can't we all get along?" jk

v=9
a=7.5 still very much watchable for me
m= only flipped thru to check the audio will watch after work

THREAD CLEANED.... now you fuckers stop shitting up the threads.

I noticed no out of sync parts at the times jizzyjeff noted. I'm using MPlayer (http://mplayerhq.hu). VLC should likely give the same results but I don't care enough to try.

Vid is a bit dark. But then again this was on the PC.

Converted and watched on dvd. Dont know what the fuss is all about. I watched with two others and nothing no sync issues at all. If your unlucky enough to have a sync problem try another program to convert.

I've checked both of these on my copy and are in sync, converted with Convertx2dvd version 2.1.14.223 if that's any help

Sync issues are there but not horribly distracting or long lasting. Volume is kinda low. Video is nice and crisp.

V: 9
A: 8 (yes there aer places where it is slightly out of sync, but not as bad as some i have seen and still watchable)
M: 7 - I didnt enjoy it all that much but the wife seemed to. Just didnt have that Silence Of The Lambs feel for me.

all up wasnt very impressed, but not a bad movie, just expected a little more i think.

Posted by Beatnik on 03-10-2007 04:09 PM:

I looked to see the comments before I decided to download it, which I did because of the conflicting reports. I had no issues with the sound what so ever in fact if there were any sync issues it was unnoticeable as far as I can say not having surround sound. I watched it with other people and not one commented on the sound (as they were also not looking for it just watching the move) I have had sync issues before the were due to either the player I used (if on pc) and only sometimes I've found it was an error during the extraction process, most likely from me doing other things while i extracted them, so I would re extract and have no problems. Just some ideas for people who actually see any sync issues. I believe it is a Distribution/Extraction error depending where you get it and what happens when you extract it that my own opinion which carries very little weight.
