Your not making any sense at all. You mean do movies play at theatres? Do theatres play trailers? Do movies exist? Do long movies still have intervals? Is it still possible to go to a theatre and actually buy a choc ice?

Who knows. *shrugs*

Posted by kap0n3 on 11-01-2002 02:34 AM:

at the end of the preview it said ONLY IN THEATRES

i kind of got the idea it would only be in theatres and not tape/dvd after asome time

naw they have been sayin that for a while now, it just means the same as COMING SOON or other shit like that

Posted by Mystic Slippers on 11-01-2002 02:44 AM:

LMAO, umm, no, if every movie was "only in theatres" we wouldn't have DVD, VHS etc.

Only in theatre's means just that. It's a new movie, you will only see it in theatres.

And will anybody confirm for me if you can actually go to see a movie and buy a choc ice?? It's buggin' the hell outta me now!

Posted by PhreakerX on 11-01-2002 03:36 AM:

no choc ice...

This is a Choc Ice. Very 1970's.

Next time you go to the movies, lemme know if you can still buy one. Buy one anyway. Everyone will think your cool.

thats the problem with the theater.. it costs me $4 to see a film.. and then about $10 on food. still, bringing yer own is always an option...

Yeah, how they justify us paying about $2 for a regular cola which i'm sorry is so warm it might as well have liquid shit in it, i don't know.

Don't buy the popcorn either. You buy it anyway, knowing in the back of your mind that the fat kid behind the counter has had his head in the vat of butter drinking out of it when people ain't looking.

Theatre food quality is shit. And the prices suck.

Bring back the choc ice!

Posted by billymcq2 on 11-01-2002 02:34 PM:

Yeah, bring them back along with the hot looking chicks that stand at the bottom of the aisles selling them. Well, I'm hung over, almost every chick looks hot at the moment!!!!!

You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

i go to the UGC, its a pretty good cinema, decent seats, nice enough screen, and we always walk in with backpacks on and never get searched or asked about anything. we watched Dogtown and Z-Boys and just laid all our food out in front of us, there was only about 8 people in the screen (wasn't a popular film, altho it kicked ass) and no staff, so no probs

i walked in the day i bought my Game Cube, and i bought the Nintendo bag that looks VERY much like a camera case. i walked in, staff said "is that a camera" i just said "no". i have been in the theater with my DV cam in my bag before (i film local bands at gigs, and we decided to catch a movie before) so im glad they didn't choose that day to search me hehe

I think what he was trying to ask was does only in theaters mean that It will only be shown in theaters and a DVD/VHS will never be released of the movie. Saying like... See it now or never, or some crazy shit like that. I could be wrong but *shrug*

Just kind of wondering how long you have been watching movies ? That has been attached to movies for as long as I can remember and the only thing it means is that it will released exclusively in theaters - some movies get released as dvd/vhs withought ever being in the theaters

Posted by Dwaggy on 11-04-2002 10:22 AM:

its just a stupid saying.. "Only in theaters" means.. that it premiers in theaters like most movies, and wont be avavable for tv viewing or dvd/vhs for awhile

I wish there were more drive-ins around here - I wouldnt mind not hearing everyone else while I watch the movie - or having to smell that nasty teenager who doesnt think he sweats yet - Lots of good for them and plenty of bad too though - o well - wanna go to one got to take a drive - not usually worth it
