Review:Dumb and Dumberer:When Harry Met Lloyd (2003)

Whomever made this movie should be shot with a shotgun autogauge. Unless Jim Carey or Jeff Daniels were involved then maybe this movie would have gotten a chance, but when the new comedy , the Prequel to the Smash Movie, came out I didnt want to see it., but as a critic I came into the movie with an open mind, so i left it alone, but boy was my 90 minutes of my life was wasted, 90 minutes I will never got back.

The Prequel to the smash hit movie, Dumb and Dumber takes us on the adventures of Harry and Lloyd, the two friends, who put the word Stupid back into stupid. Harry (played by Sean Penn Lookalike, Derek Richardson), and Lloyd (in a dead on makeup job for Jim Carey's Character in the original) are two guys that are trying to fit in in High School, and are constantly harrased by everyone. So to redeem face, they join up in a outsiders versus the school plot. reminiscent of the more superior Revenge of the Nerds Movie.

The film is just plain awful, as I found myself looking more at my watch that sitting through another one of these movies.

I was sad to see Eugene Levy, one of Hollywood's most famous character actors around today was totally wasted in a roll that he hoped to break out of.

Like the movie Bruce Alnighty, the best parts of Dumb and Dumberer was in the previews.

Whomever greenlighted this movie at New Line Cinema Pictures should be fired for making this stinker of a movie.

Dumber and Dumberer is rated PG13 for complete and total stupidity, and should be avoided at all costs.

This movie replaces "Freddy Got Fingered" as my choice for all time worse Movies.

And a scale of one to ten, this movie gets a solid 0.

Dude Freddy was the biggest pile of bollocks i ever had to sit through. I agree with MG. One of the worst films ever.

My sister and I went out to (finally) catch X2 in the theater, and had the misfortune of sitting through the saddest lump of previews in movie history. When the "Dumb and Dumberer" preview started, we just turned to each other, stared blankly, and shook our heads. We later came to the conclusion that, after sitting through about 8 previews, only two ("The Hulk" and "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen") looked even remotely good, and the latter due only to the sheer presence of Sean Connery.

This movie has to be a symptom of the self-referential feedback loop of pop culture going into meltdown.

Freddy Got Fingered was genius. you're all too proud to just admit you didn't get it i know its a deep film n all.

This film was indeed total bollocks but...but it is nowhere near as bad as Freddy got fingured.

I gotta give some props to the guy who plays Lloyd tho. He does pull off quite a good Jim Carey impression although not well enough to save this movie.

Meh.. I give it 4 out of 10.

Seen worse...Seen much much much better!

I know I'm going against the grain here. But I laughed a lot at this film! Especially the "I'm going to be your new dad" scene.

Watched it a bit drunk, maybe that helped, but I thought it was OK. Seen worse than this anyway.

Well I watched the movie a few days ago and I couldn't believe how shitty it was. The only part I found amusing was with the shit/chocolate in the bathroom and the shit on the car at the end.

God damn I hated this movie.... 4/10

Now I'm off to see Equilibrium... should be much better than this

I actually thought there were some very funny parts to it... especially when Lloyd thinks Harrys mum is 'hitting on him' that made me crease up, and the first time they meet when a chip of Lloyds tooth gets stuck in Harrys forehead... How can you say that is not funny.

Overall I would give it 6/10, and it is NO WAY as bad as Freddy Got Fingered, that film is just awful.
