not much different than the FTF release, quality does not warant usage of svcd, but since its TCF everyone will praise. just another dupe.
6/5/x
Sound is kinda hollow.. weak..
CTP.. I know it's gonna be a 3rd dupe but gimme something to watch.. bah.
picture is rele nice, sound seems hollow/scratchy, idk could be just those annoying birds or the part where he was talking in a hollow like helmet, dont rele know, but ill be sure to grab this, ftf's rls didnt seem very good cuz it was cbr 8/6/x
::Hmm, how come on all their latest rls' they have like the matrix look to em on the corners wit like the green, still havent figured it out, prob a filter, but doesnt make a big matter, was jw.

I'd rather wait till a screener, being an all CGI movie it needs great quality.
7/5/10
k
Picture is slightly better then FTF but sound is worse then FTF ill pass
7/4/10
prefer FTF's. ( nice release )
TCF jealous are we.. ?
I dont believe TCF had to low blow ftf like that with their comment "CBR on SVCD is a no no"-- Especially when your copy with 4 passes is not much more better then ftfs version.. Im gonna wait on a better copy of this movie because like others have pointed out i would like to see the CGI in all its glory.. Saying all that i have seen both first cd's and i would stay with ftf if i already have that one..Audio also seems to be a bit worse on the TCF..
whoa...
so people are hating on TCF now whew!
does the sound suck this bad?
stop releasing EVERY movie in SVCD format, it DOESNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Centropy started this, and everyone follows... KEEP IT IN VCD format and save time and bandwidth.
NOT EVERY TS has to be 1.6GB!
yea cbr might be a no no on a dvd rip but i dont think it makes much of a difference on a telesync just checked sample i'll stick with ftf its better i didnt notice missing scenes either and ive seen it in the theatre too. Should be nuked as a dupe but since its TCF it prolly wont be. No need to low blow ftf about it being hard to find i guess TCF's sites are just too leet. Here's something to ponder TS is a week late and its not all that good ur a good rls grp why lower ur rep by slagging other grps.

Yes cbr is a no no.....
i agree wit TCF, a svcd cbr is no good for two reasons:
a) If tmpgenc, or any other prog thats its frames jump (in size) will cause the dvd player to skip. (it happens with mine, when useing tmpgenc)
B) VBR is better quality.
And remeber it is a different source....
6/5.5/?
P.s. who would want to watch this (no, this is not to make fun of people )
wtf tcf! you let us down!
im coming for you guys watch your backs, sleep with one eye open muwahahah bleh i kid :X

definitely not a typical TCF release. my kid makes me watch it once a day anyways, and the sound in this one is doo doo. i'll stick with the other copy as well and wait on a better rls if i want another one.
7/3/10
Respect!
thanks to tcf for trying to bring a better rls.
6 / 6 / 10
morco ur dvd player sucks bottom line watch a vcd and compare it with a svcd cbr there's no doubt that its superior quality the vbr cbr argument can rage on all it wants simple fact is the tcf rls isnt that great
blef.....i luv jOO TCF, but im sorry, your VBR is not much better than the FTF CBR....nearly identical video, audio propz have to go to FTF too....FTF was fast, and decent, i agree this flick needs a scr to be appreciated, but i watched the first release and totally enjoyed it, enough to check out this sample to see if it was better at least.....unfortunately its not....
6/4/8
tcf u guys dropped the ball on this one. . . .
i hate to say this but this is not much better then the ftf version

finding an ftf release on sites is like trying to find weapons of mass destruction in iraq (only difference is that we have proof ftf's svcd exists)!

audio is blasting, that tinny TOO LOUD sound
video isnt SVCD quality
green line in the jpegs is also in the sample, like their release of the core screener (not a big deal tho)
nice try to bring a better release, TCF!
if you have FTF then dont bother with this one.

i grabbed the sample and from the juding of it, it sux so much. the pic is better than the ftf release but the sound was so hollow and scrape that i couldn't understand what the seagulf was saying. i suggest u guys/gals just wait for a ctp rls (hey what happen to ctp awesome svcd rls?) or wait for a screener of this movie. my vote. 7/4/?
I know this may sound sad but i have seen this movie 4 time...spending a total of $32. I like this movie alot..and i think i will wait for a better copy..i saw sample..pic is about a 6.5 but sound is good about a 7.5 but the movie overall is a 9. And the reason i saw it 4 times is because i went with different people...
Video is significantly better, what most of you fail to realize is that CBR vs. VBR doesn't necessarily mean the picture quality itself would be better (also depends on the source). In most cases that's all up to the encode settings, VBR shines best in motion compensation and distributing video bitrate where it's needed. I downloaded both copies and in FTF's copy every slight movement even a fish tail wiggling had blocks and pixelation around it. Well, to get to my point TCF's video is much better at compensating for motion and you barely see any pixelation even in high motion parts. Colors weren't overly saturated and video was much sharper and surprisingly less flickerish, Audio on the other hand left something to be desired It caused clipping I on loud scenes and it had this wierd echo which was worse than the one in their Matrix rip, it wasn't cammish hollow but definitely echoeish hollow (I dunno if you guys understand what I mean there but easily audible in comparison to real cams). Easily tweakable with a good audio setup but still annoying, if only we could merge TCF video with FTF audio then it'd be kickass TCF ya should left this internal but everyone drops a bombshell every once in a while, yall still kick arse! 9/5/10 Don't get me wrong, I'm a grown man but PIXAR toons kick ass.
Off topic but whoever said TCF was jealous of FTF must be kidding me right? LOL, that's an overstatement! I don't think any VCD groups feel threatened by FTF. Just my 50 cents.
quote:It's rare that I disagree with *everyone* but here goes: this release is BETTER than the FTF version. GASP. There it is. The picture is (slightly) better, the audio is a little better as well. Am I going deaf, or did the FTF version sound like it came from one of those old drive-in movie speakers??? Apart from an annoying, turn-the-treble-down buzz at the beginning, and a bit of echo throughout (see above post) the audio here is better than FTF's version. For me & my little boy, this is the difference between a high-quality, enjoyable release.... and a bootleg. THANKS TCF== I've watched both versions and this version is clearly better. Members of TCF may now leave this Twilight Zone of a thread with your sanity intact.
not much different than the FTF release, quality does not warant usage of svcd, but since its TCF everyone will praise. just another dupe.
Not what you are used to from TCF, but slightly better than FTF's. But the world could have done without this release.....
