Posted by Mystic Slippers on 06-19-2004 10:35 PM:

Standard WS Telecine.

But....

Just like Troy, it's blocky as fuck (again) and in the sample there's a big error click in the audio.

Not a good sign for the full rls.

7/7

p.s: Fuck you, i'll post when the fuck i like. At least i've seen the damn sample which is more than some of the criers in the modqueue have.

Posted by CerealKid on 06-19-2004 10:48 PM:

Its not as bad as it seems in sample. Looks alright on the projector, TUN just needs to get a better encoder . . . 6/8/4 ..rating based on telecine standard. hugs and kisses mystic < ><><><>

Posted by vip3r on 06-19-2004 10:56 PM:

Yeah..it's just ok..TUN needs a better encoder..

6/7/5

Posted by lorddusty on 06-19-2004 11:05 PM:

from the sample on my tv: little pixelated but not too bad at all, audio besides that nasty click is spot on, will have to see if there is any problem with the rest of the rls... the movie was pretty bad we got lucky with a decent sample from it

7/8/4

Edit: 5 of those audio glitches and i'm only about 5 mins through cd1, sync was also out for a few seconds, lowering my audio rating to a 6.

Posted by diekund on 06-20-2004 12:24 AM:

hrmm, its nice, but really TUN ask some1 how to encode
lol
or rls dvdr's and let lamers encode for u

colours are bleh in motio, goes all rainbowey
very blocky

sound=good

movie=?

7/9/?

What a waste of time guys. Waste of your time, waste of bandwidth. The VideoCD release that came out almost THREE MONTHS AGO was better than this (albeit the opening credits which were no big deal) and no other release was needed until retail DVD.

I'm glad you're out there for us TUN but put your resources to better use next time.

Posted by rvwinkle on 06-20-2004 03:02 AM:

dont waste your time

4/7/7

If you've got the TS from 3 months ago don't waste your time downloading this, it is awful video wise.

Posted by petrocs on 06-20-2004 04:53 AM:

OK OK...who pissed mystic off?

as for the release all I have to say is....WHY?

First off there is only one problem wrong with this telecine..and that is the credits being cut off real early at the end. All the reports of blockiness and stuff like that are from the sample obviously because even on the fast moving scenes this telecine is smooth and clear and the audio is great. Video is clear and near perfect. I didn't see any blockiness or blurs or nothing.

From Full Release.
9/9/7...repack with the credits please!!. cd2 was like 702mb..it would have been nice to see the credits fully intact. considering the movie was still going on during the credit reel.

Some people say the credits aren't that serious. But when the film continues during the credits it would be nice to have them fully intact. (Dawn of the Dead, Shrek 2, Hellboy and many others that still have things going on during the credits) I dont expect it too much when it comes to a cam or a telesync.

But for a direct copy and a nice telecine. It would be nice. I had to edit this since people thought my last comments were too harsh.

At first i did the stupid thing and listened to all u ppl that watch sample only and then report on quality..ie Troy...
However, like Blue-Neo said not alot to download and VideoCD was missing the credits at beginning.. This one cuts em off at the end..
However, i definitely feel, This TC was unecessary because a dvdscreener or rip has to be right around the corner.. That aside just like Troy.. This rls is very SWEET imop...The intro is intact colors are vivid.. blockiness doesn't exist when u burn and watch and stand alone and sound is fine... as for a cd2 repack.. i don't care about the credits... However, this movie is not worth a TC i don't think.. IT was ok at best.. save for Riddick, Dodgeball or Spiderman 2....Props to TUN for continuing to rls despite all the bashing.. Once again..ITS free.. Download if u must or don't i don't care, but plz get ur eyes checked... ITs a nice TC.. Shrek 2..MaTinE sucked ass.. Sorry MaTinE, but it did

8.5/9/7

Decent release, and good attempt

Video is a little blocky, audio is good quality, didn't like the movie though

I'd stick with the videocd release, the video quality is a little better

7/8/5

Who the hell are you to demand a repack be released because the credits at the end are missing, or any reason for that matter. You are a leecher and contribute nothing to the scene but your BS comments. If your so good at creating and releasing Telecines, why don't you shut your mouth and do it. Otherwise, stick to downloading from XDCC bots.

And to the person that posted below that this release is unnecessary and a DVD Screener/Rip has to be right around the corner... exactly how the hell do you know this? Did you talk to the supplyer personally? or are you using your pre-cognitive vision? Either way, your wrong on both counts. Any release that has potential should be shared, be it Telesync, Telecine, or VHS/DVD Screeners.

/end rant

Question

POST WAS ERASED

Posted by crackerjax on 06-20-2004 04:09 PM:

Angry

who the hell makes laser discs anymore? They are called pdvd's buddy. What's with the caps, that post is barely readable, whatever ...

scanning through CD1 now, it's blocky on my LCD, I'm going to burn and try on my TV, to see if bcool2k and Blue-Neo are right. Hopefully they are ...

so far, if I had to rate from what I've seen it's a 7/6, but I'll update after watching the whole release.

Posted by thredworm on 06-20-2004 06:17 PM:

Don't like TUN's releases at all. Always a bit dodgy and this ain't no different. Blocky picture as usual, audio is ok, film is complete shit.

First off your the one thats "bad mouthing" another user - look at your first sentence, a direct flame towards me. Secondly, No one downloads a Telecine for the " full credits just as dvdscreener or dvdrip would. " - They download it because the Video/Audio quality is usually better ( and in this case is ) then any release pred before it. Third -

Contradicting yourself just makes you look like an ass, especially in less then 5 posts.

It doesn't surprise me you can't distinguish between a TS and a TC, based on most of your posts, you haven't even seen the majority of the samples you post on ( yeah, they don't get samples up on IRC in the first 15 mins, and if they do, your ass is in queue spot 99 out of 100. BTW - If your look at my post record, you'll see 90% are on the quality of movie releases, unlike your 360+ posts that have jack shit to do with the topic.

Bottom line : Your post was lame and you got called on it.

TUN did a great job imo on The Day After Tomorrow TC, so this rls being so bad is a surprise. Anyone with eyes that actually saw that rls knows it is the best copy out. Period.

This Scooby Doo 2 is not great, however.

ok i have seen worse TC's than this, maybe its my player or something, havent watched on a standalone yet, but i just extracted the Mpeg from the cue/bin, and i dont see what the problem is, i mean its definately not incredibly sharp, a minor motion problem, and as others have said theres supposed to be a few audio problems, my problem is.. why just because its not one of the top TCs do ppl go crazy, this is great looking, not perfect but it is the best yet, and the encoding altho not great, it isnt gonna ruin the experience 7/9/... ill update later, but i have a 19 in regular monitor, maybe thats why i dont see this, but i think this is aight....

:: quickest edit known i think, less than 10 minutes into actually watchin it right b4 7:30 i see the crappy squares, oh well gonna finish now...

:: ok after fully seeing everything 2x i give this a 7/6/7 the video is nice the electric monster looks like shi.. but other than that the best out. the audio is bad, i watched on comp and notice a sync prob then on 2 standalones, the same problem on and off sync mainly cd1, the movie was better than expected, more close to the show as the 1st altho not enuff drug humor =c)

Posted by djj on 06-22-2004 03:01 PM:

Not the best telecine ever but still very watchable. Video is a bit blocky, have to admit that. Audio is nice. Movie is rather weak.

Man this movie SUX. The video was ok but the audio had these loud glitches all the way through it (might have just been me). The movie itself was terrible. The cartoon is alright but I dont like anything to do with these movies. The actors, the monsters, nothing. The only thing that was ok was Shaggy actually sounded like Shaggy in the cartoon. Other than that this movie was SH*T! Thanks for the release though TUN
