Very weak sound.. and if this came from a reel scan why'd we crop out 1/3 of the picture?

this is quite a bad TC imo... its dark, it doesnt look tc at all, the sound isnt great but works... but again this if a TC is rather poor

as a TC, poor. if labeled a TS, pretty good. sounds low on pc, will burn and watch on tv, probly better there.

Video isn't as good as they usaully give us, but has nice sound. Video has color and is very watchable. I actually love the fact mVs did what it took to at least bring us this great movie. Thanks guys, it's about bringing out a good product and you stood up and did it. Grabbed this yesterday and watched it, loved it.

This isn't the worst TC I've ever seen but it's pretty bad. The picture is dull lacking the bright colors needed to give this movie justice. Also slightly blurry, I'm reminded more of a good TS than a TC. Audio is very low but when turned up loud enough is pretty good. Definately watchable and the best copy out so far but nothing to get too excited over. Thank you mVs for the effort

As stated above, not a great TC but I reckon its the best release so far.

If you havent already watched a TS then I`d wait because the R5 is released next month so worth waiting.

a month can be a very long time, then when the r5 comes what source are they gonna use for the audio? idf you say the sound on this one is shit, the cams and telesync were dire!

I don't believe this is a real TELECINE. and it appears cropped.

a telecine can almost pass for a dvd rip. this is nowhere near that quality

if the truth was given about this release it could be a descent TELESYNC ,
even then it would be cropped, but still very watchable and a decent dark picture although not at all sharp.

I would not even give it a rating.

wish mvs would stick to the truth where i could believe them in the future.

seems like there's lots of groups now days that have a hard time with the truth.

as stated this isnt a good TC, but its the best version out, so the sound is low, normalise it! .. so the colours are weak, saturate em! .. for the love of satan, spend 1 minute tweaking this and you've got a decent copy .. i'd recommend tmpgenc to tweak & convert from xvid to dvd.

Why pay?

As horrible as this rls seems to most, it's still better by far then the CAM and TS versions out there...

No flickering, consistent video quality and steady sound (although low and lifeless...).

oh come on it isnt 2 versions, its simply the member who did the re encode stating it as a ts becuase they felt mVs wasnt a tc, so no point given the piuc sample.

quite bright or are they the screen shots i keep seeing.
audio is extemely low
not sharp for a tc would normally be but its better than every release out there on the SCENE .

Video - Seems like a poor quality TC along the lines of Doom or The DaVinci Code TC's we saw. The light scenes work quite well, but when it goes dark, it seems to loose a lot of defination, and gives it a very "cammish" effect.
I give it a 6

Audio - Crappy, but at least it's in synch and is listenable

Movie - Eh; Had some great parts, but others seemed quite rediculous, and were "loose interpretations" of the novel. The ending also seemed a bit "lacking", but I'd still give this one a 7.
