It is cropped to hell. On some close ups you can hardly see the mouth move when speaking. It could be the Russian subtitled version that was going around. With the subtitles cropped out.

decent

Besides the obvious crop this version is very watchable. Best out so far (not the Russian source as stated above).
It's a dark flick, so probably hard to get it decent.
If it wasn't for the crop I would rate 8.5, but hey, rated as is I would say 7.5
Audio is direct, decent. Nice to see they finally found a line source. Can't comment on sync atm.
Movie itself- saw it in cinema- wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

Decent rls all around. Too bad for the nuke, but I would recommend this anyway.
v 7.5
a 8
m 7

Thx TBG. You guys are filling the blank spot atm.

Posted by gezzer on 12-04-2007 11:37 PM:

All in all a completely watchable release,
6/7/7 makes a change to see a decent homemade, that side of the scene seems to have died a death lately.

Posted by jicjak on 12-05-2007 12:20 AM:

From sample, rar, and now watching. AR and over cropping issues as already noted. Neither rendering it unviewable though. Resolution OK as is color. Sound good. Watchable and not much more.

6.5/7.5/?

Wow. What a movie. Would there be more. Revised ratings 7/8/8.5

Posted by RealJB on 12-05-2007 12:48 AM:

Blurry, colours washed out, contrast has no depth to it and seriously cropped to hell. AR is noticeably out... oh, yeah... it's dark as well. Even if you want to take the time running it through filters, etc., it's too cropped to be really worth it.

This is not a movie to watch with CAM video, so...

This is a hard movie to do, TBG deserves credit for trying while you weanies out there rag on them. The day scenes are actually pretty good, the sound is on and it's direct. It's a dark movie and you should see it in 3D if you can. I really enjoyed it at the movies and it was hard to see some things there. I can't imagine anything except an R5 or DVDrip making this the true way to enjoy it. If you can wait, wait, if you can't then grab this version. Props to you guys for bringing and thanks.

Good quality stuff from TBG. Audio is fantastic. Nice range, no hiss, or sync issues. Video is great for a movie this dark. Even the dark scenes are viewable. Colors are a bit washed out, but its sharp, and no flashing. It is cropped slightly, but it cuts off only a bit of the picture, so it doesn't interfere with viewing. Movie was good. You fanboys waiting to see Angelina Jolie's goodies won't be disappointed. :-) I see it is nuked for the AR being slightly off. Don't let the nuke dissuade you from watching, this is by the best release so far. (Probably the best before an R5, or TC comes along) Besides the cropping, the only flaw i noticed was a 13 second black screen from 34:02-15. Picture comes back, gets in focus again, and then is fine again.

Overall, a very fine release from TBG. Hope to see more from you at this quality level.

CATBOX

V- 8 slightly cropped, but great otherwise

A- 9 it doesn't get any better than this for a TS

M - 9 Cool effects, good story. AJ's boobs.

Good God Arfur, how long have you been a member here?

Damn good TS though. I'm in the habit of waiting for better copies these days but I think this'll do good for me.

haven't seen the nickelodeon, so the movie rating is really a guess. couldn't see most of the screen due to crop and what i could see was often too dark to appreciate. i did get what i believe to be an accurate depiction of events and will prolly grab this one again and again, searching for that perfect rip.

thanks again for the rls TBG.

The movie itself actually looks like it might not be too bad,but the quality isn't right for this type of movie, wait for the R5 release or risk ruining the movie.

Beowulf

I could not watch this after going to see it in digital 3d at the cinemas. Go see it the way it was intended, I never go to the cinemas but this is worth doing it. If you haven't seen it in cinemas and are downloading this to watch you are only kidding yourself
