Long time....no see

Yep, it looks like a great release, but I can't say that UTi is a great release group. Stuart Little 2 was released 7/19. Today is 8/24. That's 5 weeks, and all they come up with is "The Guru"??

All the properly-labeled, non-Asian-silver, wonderfully-filmed quality in the world means nothing if they ain't releasing Jack Diddly-squat. This is more like a tease than anything. After the death of Sen-tro-pee, UTi's post-SL2 performance/disappearance has been the summer's biggest disappointment.

"Simone," "Serving Sara," "XXX".... something with a pulse... anyone??

RE: K-Flex (Who has now deleted their post) : "CRAP"

Is that it? Is that all you have to say? Shit dude, try taking some branded Miracle-Gro Maturity Pills™ to help you "grow the fuck up".

Props to UTi for the release. From the sample i'd give the a/v a 6/5. Dunno what the actual movie is like but i heard it's a bit of a stain.

Sorry people in EU dont have the pleausure of having those movies in a theatre as we americans do so thats why they didnt do it i suppose considering those arent due out in EUROPE for a while.

This point crossed my mind, and it's a good point, but we're still talking 5 weeks between releases. Most of these groups are in EU & they could at least bring their quality to some movies that are maybe a little older (Reign of Fire, Halloween Res, etc.) but could use an upgrade. The gap between releases in EU and the USA isn't what it used to be. But I concede that you've probably nailed the reason for their disappearance.

Posted by vorbis on 08-24-2002 10:51 PM:

I think Uti are british as they always do uk movies first. Anyways, how could they release xxx when its not out over here.
As for this release, great pic and sound quality. That camera of yours has got a really sharp image.

Posted by Asterisk on 08-25-2002 12:24 AM:

Been waiting for this. Thanks UTi, you guys seem to be the only ones doing British releases just now. Who cares if this is your first release for 5 weeks.

Movies are released in the following way... (apart from PROPERs and iNTERNALs)

TELESYNC > SCREENER > DVDrip

If TCF released a SCREENER of this movie tomorrow, you wouldn't download it? Weird...

Well I think its good if they are in the UK because we need someone to bring out movies that are out first in UK or UK-only movies

looks like another good cam. May have to look into changing my policy on cams.

And your point is? I couldn't care how long it is between releases as long as the quality remains the same, maybe a certain group can take note of the quality.

Nope most groups are using suppliers in the US or Asian silvers, UTi is the only major rls group in the UK

You are kidding right?
remember Black Knight? well that is released here next month!! the mega movies are around 6 weeks behind the US with most other movies 2 - 3 months behind, the only three movies to be released on the same day as the US in the last year were, Star Wars 2, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

to Pepperkorn :

and Stuat Little 2 for some unknown reason

uti kicks ass!!!

who wants to see movies 100 times, screeners and propers who gives a shit. love these non released movies!!

p.s. cuz someone releases a screener after 5 other previous releases, dont mean the story line of the movie will change, it remains the same the 1st time you watch it lol

go uti.. saw it all through, good quality, very very watchable. now i wait for dvdrip, who cares what comes in between

Posted by [RaZoR] on 08-26-2002 10:50 PM:

nice release , nothing to say about that.
but anyone noticed too that the jpg's of all UTi releases look
extremely good , too good ? i watched stuart little 2 and it didnt
looked as good as the jpg's ....
anyway , props to UTi

video is good, a bit dark, but not bad at all, and audio is good for a cam, but this movie, ack, just watched the 1st cd, and I won't be gettin up to watch the 2nd one, Heather Graham & Marissa Tomei are the only things that save this movie, just cause their hot

Posted by Truman on 08-29-2002 12:00 AM:

Shit i wanted this .. nuked on my sites for cam... strange how they let Stuart little 2 pass for a cam.. Barstools..

A message to UTI label it T/S might as well cos they sure as hell are BETTER than the T/s from other groups!!!

Posted by joekker on 08-30-2002 01:48 AM:

Good quality (better than most new screeners) and props to UTi.

Posted by fluffykiwi on 09-04-2002 02:47 AM:

Better quality than most recent telesyncs.
The video is good, a bit dark at times but still very clear.
The sound is better than I've heard from a CAM and is better than many Telesyncs, especially as in sync all the time.
My only slight worry is the picture broke up slightly during the first Cd at one point but I think the prob is my burner rather than the release.
BTW I dont care how many releases there are as long as they are better each time and not just a reencode of a previous one.
No need for another release of this film until at least a screener, but I wont be downloading em as this is perfectly watchable.
Oh and the film itself did raise some chuckles so worth a look IMO.

Posted by fluffykiwi on 10-04-2002 06:16 AM:

7/6/7

The quality for a cam was great with nice clear sound and reasonable picture.
I've seen telesync that were way worse.
I also enjoyrd the movie and so did my wife, seemed like the usual british movie, think this was holywood though.

Well worth a look and nice to see someone releasing the smaller gems.
