6/6/?

Posted by Rep- on 08-30-2004 07:42 PM:

good quality, but i'll stick with the tc. 7/7/9
I liked the first two movies better

Posted by BLUE-NEO on 08-30-2004 08:01 PM:

I give credit to wastedtime and videocd for getting screeners, but it really is unnecessary, when wonderful telecines were already released. no need to release screeners afterwards. the dvdrip or dvdr should be next in line. sorry but no thanks. my telecine is widescreen and very lovely quality.

6/6/8 movie was decent weak villian though.

yeah you guys are right, that out of sync russian pdvd "tc" that was cropped was soo much better then a real screener.

Nice job on the screener, no crop, no missing scenes, all good 7/7/-

I'll stick with the TC.

Wasn't out of sync on my DVD Player.
It wasn't cropped, thats how it was filmed, in 2:35:1, and cant say i noticed anything missing from the one at the theatre.

Its a FS Screener, its cropped at the sides.

Im just gonna stick with my SVCD and Anamorphic Widescreen 5.1 DVDR thanks.

Posted by pHo on 08-30-2004 08:56 PM:

as above, the TC was great. if you think correct aspect ratio is "cropping" then please don't post here again, ktnx.

Wow, that's an oxymoron if i've ever seen one, moron.

what do you think FS means?

Posted by vcd fogie on 08-30-2004 10:06 PM:

typical vcd screener. 7/7/10

props to wastedtime for their screener hookup, and the release effort... but i gotta agree that the tc was perfect, and much much much better quality than any VHS --> VCD capture will ever be

honestly, i think vcd should be left to rest. remember those THCiSO svcd screeners? they were incredible captures, and i'm suprised that the scene didnt permantly move to VHS --> SVCD caps. i cant stand watching any vcd now because it looks like complete garbage on my projector (even if i unzoom the lens all the way back), id rather just wait for the retail rip

RLS it all let the user sort it out ;P

Pretty good SCR. Nice work with the audio. Just a bit grainy. The TC was much better but that shouldnt stop Wastedtime from rls'n the SCR. If it meets the rules let the user sort it out.

6/8/7

I grabbed the chakra dvdr svcd tc a while ago and it plays fantastic on my standalone dvd player. No audio sync probs what so ever! it was clear crisp and excellent to watch.

As others have already said there prolly was no need for this release, but still credit where its due and thx as someone will want this release.

Posted by Debo on 08-30-2004 10:41 PM:

decent screener
7/8
not interested in the movie tho

Posted by Centhena on 08-31-2004 02:56 AM:

completely pointless release. the tc was so good it makes this look like a cam.

good movie, enjoyable. First two were a little better. This one had a weak villian true.

Weak comment... this group has EXCELLENT screeners .. just because we've been graced with an excellent crop of TC's and maVen/VideoCD's excellent TS's doesn't mean this this group is wasting their time, or yours for that matter, they are simply showing they have the awesome source for these screeners, and when a good quality TC/TS doesn't come out they are kings. Refering to releases such as Dawn.of.the.Dead.SCREENER-Wastedtime etc

Posted by Enzomatrx on 08-31-2004 08:27 AM:

i agree with the above basically.

there's a kickass TC of course. That does not mean a group should not release a VHS Screener if they happen to have it. It's not a dupe, so it's not really a total waste.
So as far as releasing goes, good job obtaining the source and releasing.

As far as the "need" factor... the TC is the best to hold you over obviously until a DVD-Screener or DVD-Rip. So enough jokes about the group's name on that.

for a VHS Screener it's a 7.5/8/9 (i like the darker aspect of this movie vs the fruity 'long as hell' aspect of the first... the second was great though).

Posted by bcool2k on 08-31-2004 08:50 PM:

Bleh..I can't watch Harry Potter in any other format than DVDR and Since Replica was nice enough to rls...a very sweet TC DVDR awhile back..I'm gonna stick with that till a DVDR pres...

VHS-scr can't be much better... this is still quite good but the TC released was very nice so... umm, do the math.

looks good. also looks like they taped it with a vcr at a hotel or something (note the warning at the beginning...no normal "screener marks, etc).

bit bland and washed, but good.

audio was a bit hissey.

This is probably a joke. WastedTime, eh?

Anyway, stick to the TC version, that was sublime.

Posted by qubit on 09-03-2004 07:56 AM:

I basically agree with everyone who says they'll stick with the great TC. However, there are some odd folk out there (one being my son-in-law) who do not seem to understand the concept of widescreen. So if their square TV screen isn't completely full of picture then something is wrong. Let those folks have this release. Now everybody should be happy, right? HA! Doubt that will ever happen in these forums.
