DVD player problem
whenever i burn a .mpeg of a svcd onto a disk using nero it wont play on my standalone dvd player, but when i burn other types of vcd's in .mpeg form they play fine. i dont know if that makes sense so i will use an example.
i burnt old scohol which is a TS onto a disk and watched it on my standalone dvd player and it worked fine but when i tried burning the ring and swimfan which were both SVCD's they wouldnt play at all. i tried to burn the two as a Super Video-CD and then as a VIDEO-CD with nero and then i tried just burning it as an Image using the .cue but neither of these would work. is there anything i can do to fix this problem?
::Maybe your standalone doesnt support svcds.. go to www.vcdhelp.com and view their dvd player help and see if youre player is listed as svcd compliant -FuzZ
thanks for the help. it dosnt work with SVCD's. (jvc xv-m50)
this might be a dumb question but is there anyway i can change the svcd into something else that will play on a standalone?
you can try re-encoding it to an mpeg 1 file with tmpgenc.. i wont guaruntee itll work.. but if you REALLY want it to play.. its worth a shot
