Apex PD-50 or PD-100....
Hey, I know that most of you guys like the Apex players, so I thought I'd ask about the New Apex portables. Wal-Mart.com (of all places) is offering the PD-50 for $200.
Has anyone had a chance to try out the Portable Apex players? Are they as good as the other Apex products? Do they handle CD-R/RW okay?
I curse my Playstation2 everyday for not being able to play (S)VCD and My GE DVD Player won't play them either so I need to get into the market for a new player. I'm kinda "new" to the whole (S)VCD scene and I'm getting sick of dragging everyone into my computer room to watch something cool.

Why spend that much when you could buy a apex 1500 for about $90.00 it plays everything you throw at it!
BTW dont buy online there are shitloads of hidden charges if price concerns you
hope this helps
I like the portable aspect of it I guess. I've got the PS2 hooked up to my home theatre so this second unit would just be for my bedroom/utilityplayer.
It seems like it would come in handy whenever I travel or want to show something on disc to someone who doesn't have a VCD compatable player (like me!). Unfortunately, my @$$ is too poor to afford a decent laptop right now.
