Australian DVD player Used in the UK
Is it possible?
I was asked in the pub the other day if a DVD player bought in Australia would work in the UK. I know that the power lead will need changing or an adapter using, but what about region coding and picture formats, are they the same as the UK. If it is just region coding maybe there is a hack to change it.
Aussie DVD Region = 4, not sure what the UK uses.
Our Voltage = 220-240 / 50 hz
Broadcast = PAL
A lot of the no-name brands are region free, stay away from the big guys Sony etc.
I have a question, why would anyone want to buy a player in OZ to take to the UK?
I'm assuming you are in the UK.
check out dvdrhelp.com if the site its self won't help they have a good forum.
