xvid problems

Ok, This really confusing my simple mind. I downloaded a couple of Xvids, For example a Repack that according to this site is really good. But it is really fucked on my computer.

It starts off good for about 1 second, then it slows down, and the Frame rate seems to be off. I haven't dealt with Xvid or divx for a long time, I am not sure if this is a codec problem, player problem or if the actual download is fucked.

I usually use Crystal player for movies. but I have tried WMP and the problem is still there. Any ideas of what could be causing the problem.

I remember you had problems before with your xvids, have you checked to see if you have the correct codec and is there a newer one out? So far, I haven't had the problem you described, and I usually check my xvids in WMP.
