A Couple Questions About Burning To DVD-DivxtoDVD

When I burn to dvd, I notice that its not quite DVD quality. You can see a couple connected pixels like what screeners have. I have a huge plasma and at some parts man is it fuckin obvious.

In dark scenes it is really obvious. Its not 100% dvd quality. I like downloading those 700mb files. But I guess that the pixels are probably from the compression.

I use divxtodvd. With that program do you lose quality when converting?

If I convert to PAL, I read that the quality should be improved, but then I think about the audio (NTSC is 29 frames per second and PAL is 24, so shouldnt the audio catch up?)

WHere to start...............ok well first of all just incase you havent noticed, "those 700mb files" are divx. When you convert it to dvd, it wont look any better than the file that you have. I personally never use any programs that are entiled "xxxxxtoxxxxx". Also converting to pal is never really worth it.

if you use avi's, youve already lost some quality, which you'll never get back....d/l dvd rips if your worried about the quality on your blinging plasma

garbage in = garbage out

the output file will never be better quality than the one you started with
