okay now I don't know exactly what reencode you got BUT

are the files approx 150MB each and maybe have the words TMD or SMR in them.... if so, find a new source.

now if they are approx 700MB total are each, then your fairly ok, but not still the best quality.

just my input, and if you want them on DVD...as in DVD video you will need to convert them....easiest and good way is DVD2SVCD (you can set the input to avi and not just DVD) but you will also need an encoding program such as TMPGEnc or CCE (google will help you here)

Now if you just want them on a DVD disc, meaning the sum of the two files is greater than 700MB (if less than a CDR will hold them) you will need a DVD player capable of playing back avi/mpeg4 files.

The most popular of the series will probably be the Philips DVP642 (I'm sort of a fan boy for this product, so you will probably hear alot of it from me) or any other DVD player that advertises MPEG4 or Divx or Xvid or AVI

This should be all the informaton you need. If you need more help feel free ot PM me or visit www.doom9.org (which might help you more or more quick)
