Video formats for PMP

Before I start converting my movies to certain video formats to my Creative Zen W, I am wondering which formats are preferred(performance wise, video quality, file size...etc...)

Creative Zen W: Video Format Capability
WMV, MPEG 1, 2, 4-SP, Motion-JPEG, DivX 4 and 5 and XviD

Any suggestions on formats would be appreciated. Thanks

wmv are smaller and will look ok if your veiwing on that lil screen......if you plan to hook it up to a larger screen such as a 42inch plazma etc use divx.....as most avi files of good quality for big screen are 700mb for 105 minutes or less or 1.4 gig for longer movies you need to think first what ure viewing them on...lil tiny or big screen

I would recommend SUPER for converting any media that you want to play back on a PMP. It has a GUI interface for multiple encoders such as ffmpeg, tmpgenc and x264 and pre-made profiles for the most popular devices. It also has a DirectShow mode, which allows you to convert any unsupported media as long as you have the correct codecs installed.
