My DvD PLAYER
Um, i have a Zenith DVC2550 dvd player. Is their a way i can force it to play CD-Rs? I think it supports vcds but i dont know. I tried vcdhelp but the hacks didnt work. Oh yeah, i think it plays vcds because it shows about 4lcd boxes on the faceplate that lite up telling you what type up disc you have in.
EXAMPLE-
|DVD|VCD|MP3|AUDIO|
i burned a NTSC vcd disc and tried to watch it. But when i try to watch it, the dvd reader just says disc error after about 3minutes of trying to read it. Also, in the manual, it said does not read cd-r.
HELP plz!! Im tired of watching vcds on the computet

if it is of any help a mate's got same problem i think he has a samsung dvd hifi that states it will not play cdrs as such i think he found it plays audio only type cdrs for music but he has found cdrs that play for films they are vitastar with a blue recording surface.any other cdrs it spits out.if thats any help but just get one or 2 to try till your sure.another thing you can get a small piece of software called cdr identifier that reads blank cdrs to identify manufacturer etc that is mostl ikely how a dvd reconises a disk so if you can find a disk that plays you can compare its details against others with out actually having to risk burning them first as the software put on your pc can tell you if they are same
So your friend got a music cd-r to play in the dvd and he got a vcd he burned to work on it?
