^ true, groups do it all the time. They acknowledge they made a mistake, they improperly labelled it, or some other reason. It's more respectful to the scene and end users instead of saying "well fuck, nuke it if you want, we don't care."

Im sorry. But if they nuked it because of the race.. it shouldnt be. but the quality is worth the nuke. If it was pred before uti they won end of story. Centropy shit gets no where. So they still win. K19 never hit the wide scene at all.

race is based on site spread if pre's are within a few mins of each other. as i said in chan, if one group affils a dozen+ rated 100mbit+ sites with proper curry groups, but a group who affil a DSL site in Mexico releases it first, the group with the proper sites is going to spread faster and further.

Also the thing is SVCD and avg. bitrate was 1702 so that was a nuke right there. Most SVCD have a bitrate of 2000+. Sorry LION.

The group called "LION" released a film called "HARRY POTTER...{etc}" its source was from a DVDSCreener (promotional format sent to reviewers, oscar screenings etc, usually have some sort of copyright notice or a timer). the group realised there was something wrong, and they requested that sites nuke it (ie its now not available for trade, and anyone who tries will be punished (on proper sites, this does not include usenet/irc/kazaa etc, as siterules mean nothing to them))

its not complex, just click the words on the main screen u dont understand and it'll take u to a FAQ i wrote explaining each term

Thanks for the help. I read up on the faq before posting but I didn't understand who it had been nuked by as I couldn't see why they'd want to nuke their own release. I see now.

Finally got this release after much much queueing, although I'm just waiting on cd 2 to finish. Copies have come a helluva a long way from when I used to get them (Before my sparkly new internet connection) off my uncle. Dodgy tape to tape 7th generation copies. I still don't know what the hell E.T looks like in that film.

Sorry pHo :-/ I meant that as my opinion. I understand that faster and better sites get around better. But The little packet kiddies in forums dont need to flame lion. they did Release it first. They had sources. And should not be bashed like people do.

hmm well i still haven't seen the reason for grp.req and popular opinion is they dont have the sources, and that its taken from the divx. the quality is certainly lacking in what i've seen, and doesn't look like a rip from VOB

To get back to the point, i commend them for bein honest and requestin a nuke. but their timing was kinda bad. makes it look like they didn't have the patience to fix it cuz they would have "lost the race". No respect for themselves if thats the case. Plus i gotta agree that after watcin cd1 looks a lot like a divx convert.

Either way, get the movie or not. Otherwise stfu and do what your sposed to do in this post.... RATE THE GD MOVIE!!!

You can tell by the video quality, if you see divx artifacts on a SVCD then you can be pretty certain. If it wasn't a re-encode why doesn't lion just upload a vob sample as proof (duh). The don't have evidence themselves to prove otherwise.

I mean, if you have a DVD screener, you damn well KNOW it is a genuine real DVD screener. The stupidity and ignorance really overwhels me.

but what IS a pdvd?..... and I do know what a divx is.... but why would someone want to take it to vcd or svcd? It was my understanding that doesn't work so well?
