F.O.D. is a series of crappy mondo movies featuring 75% staged deaths and 25% library news footage. HO1kC is nothing like this.

He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" I don't get what point your trying to make though. The movie is nothing like faces of death. F.O.D. is a crappy mondo movie. 1000 Corpses is a horror movie.

Its awful, nothing more then a B-Movie with a decent budget.

On another matter, who actually owns the distrubtion rights to this film? It has the Lions Gate logo at the begining and then right at the very end of the credits it has (copywright logo here*)2000 Universal Studios. I thought Universal dropped the movie? Thinking about it, did this film have a limited run in 2000 then?

Anyways, the film is crap. Gave it a 3 out of 10 due to the soundtrack being semi decent.

okay faces of death, ive seen certain ones that arent on tape/arent relesed to pub. (i kno this psyco cop) he showed me this sickening videos he had labled as faces of death, i just realised prolly none of you have seen um, but people doing sick shit like in the movie, with the skin peeling, the killing, needles, the shit dr.satan did.

Hello all my first post and then with such a movie lol.

House of 1000 Corpses is just a boring Horrormovie.
Ive read that it has much brutal gore/splatter/violence and sex.
Only thing that ive encountered was coarse language but that movie isnt as bloody or brutal like some other movies.
Ok i have to admitt that the movie is a bit crazy but thats all no need to mention crack or mushrooms becoz he used a colorfilter sometimes.

Baaaaaaaah what a big disapointment this Film is after reading good stuff bout it.

And i have to give Mystic big yes your right:

FOD has nothing to do with House or any other horrorflick.
And not even the "noneofuhaveseen" videotape that some mentioned here to be a "snuff".
If he would have seen a real snuff video he would need mental treatment now lol.
Only really sick peeps can stand such shit if its really really REAL.
But if u come to irc channels like this or boards 3 out of 10 "HAVE" seen a snuff video and thats just not possible and just bragging around.

Faces Of Death are MONDO movies. Meaning they are acted simulated fake death movies. F.O.D. is all fake and features a small amount of library news archive footage.

All things aside guys, did anyone notice zombie's TRUE love of other horror movies in 1000. I'll just give the 3 top examples

1. the family setting - chainsaw massacre beyond a shadow of a doubt. Not to mention the desert looking fields @ the end

2. Leather face AKA burn boy in this one. Character layout and all

3. Nightmare on elmstreet- I know he's plugin old horror classics, but when you take teh same ending as that movie down the the CADILLAC, this just made it a sad conclusion.

I could systematically every 2 minutes named something he used from a dozen or so classics.

Great first attempt though, I just haven't seen a GREAT horror movie in a LONG TIME!

(granted the FIRST scream, no others, has a lot o respect in my book.)

People, I know you're all optimists, deep inside, but you have to admit something. The acting in this movie was the scariest thing about it. There was 0 suspense, 0 fright, and 0 story. Sure, it was demented, but have you seen Rob Zombie lately? I mean, an interview with him on Carson Daily's show would be demented.

Yeah I gotta go with Mystic.... It wasn't something like... lifechanging... but it was deffinatly a great ass horror flick... probably right on up there as one of my favorite. I have to say, my normalacy rating went from a bouta 5 to a 2 after that movie... I now feel the need to have sex with a goat or chicken... what a disturbing disturbing film.

I thought the movie was way to boring, oh yeah yet another death. The only part that i really liked was when that idiot tried jumping over a motercylce and got a helmet in his nuts. But of course the whole sex change seen was disturbing it hurt to much to watch.

You cannot seriously tell me you sat through those opening moments where that stupid kid talked to the Captian and thought "Gee this is a quality flick". It was just stupid. Like if my friend had gotten drunk and started improving a horror flick, it would have looked like that. And all those "homages"....like I said, eventually you gotta say those are just rip offs.

I've seen plenty of horror movies with decent acting. Maybe not top notch stuff, but decent. The Exorcist, CHUD, The Omen.... Wait--looking at that list maybe it's just that this isn't my kind of horror flick. I don't dig slashers all that much, cause in most of them there is no suspense. Just like this movie....there was no suspense. Of course, I watched it stone-cold sober.
