Whatever happened to not releaseing as SVCD? lol.

looks great. 8/8/3

Posted by maureen on 01-25-2006 01:07 AM:

From the sample only.
About the same as the xvid version.
8/8/7.
Seems to be no real need for this.

Posted by Striped on 01-25-2006 01:12 AM:

Not as sharp as the XViD but svcd will never be so.

Watched this tonight, its pretty good picture, alot better than the other one
Couldn't make out what was going on in some dark fight scenes, but overall very watchable.
Think I had some audio background noise/distortion on the left chanel in a couple of places (but could be my speakers).

8/7/8

Posted by KrackZaa on 01-25-2006 02:00 AM:

prolly just didnt want some group to release it in svcd, so they did even though it certainly isnt as sharp as the xvid, people just need to go upgrade to a new dvd player, svcd is out.

A bit blurry but otherwise very watchable.

They don't want another group re-incoding there xvid and calling it there own.

I think it happened with Harry Potter and they got pissed.

Anyhoo based on sample it looks good to me.

8/8/9 I like the movie a little better than the first.

Good Release. Thanx Maven

Video 8 - Most of the movie is dark & it is completely watchable. Only problem is that it is pretty pixelated.

Audio 7 - Audio is decent. You hear cracks every once in a while.

Movie 8 - Movie was pretty good. Very violent :-D. I love the gore too. Story line was a lil slow moving. They like retold the whole first movie so u can understand what was happening in this movie.

Posted by dragon25 on 01-25-2006 10:48 AM:

watch it on tv and you will see ghosting throughout the film....

nukeother trhan that its a great movie and on the comp its a grweat ts but im basing this on the xvid.

m 8

Just as good as XVID, and no this should not be nuked. Very enjoyable movie and release

But do it someplace else.

From Sample...
This version has the same red bleed in the black as the other release... (Same Video Source?)

The audio is definitely a step above! There was an annoying buzz in the previous release. This one is clear.

Kudos Maven...

7/8.5/7

The movie expected you to be totally versed in its lore from the beginning. I only saw the first one once, so I found it difficult to follow the first 30 mins or so...

You're just best being quiet.

Didn't notice any ghosting but I didn't really watch the film intently, I skipped the middle when I got a phone call. Dreadful film, almost Uwe Boll-esque.

Audio fine except for kind of an electronic/reverberating echo.

Vid good and watchable despite it being a dark movie.

8/7/2

Posted by RUiNU on 01-27-2006 03:11 AM:

Just finisned watching this and it was a good movie, diffent then the first, but not better or worse.

This release was good but nothing to write home about.

Bassed on total release on standalone dvd, 32" tv.

7/8/9

A tad to dark but no motion blure

sound not that amazing 6
movie 5 quite boring

Posted by kris1471 on 01-30-2006 01:09 PM:

Watched this satuday.

V - 9 on a 32" looked almost dvd qual.
A - 9 very good but like a buzzing thing but very faint, hard to explain. doesnt bother you though....
M- 8 liked the 1st better had more action, but this is a good follow up.

Posted by binks120 on 01-31-2006 09:02 PM:

good film as good as ive seen this year prob best seen at theatre fist to do it justice but nice release

7.5/7/8

Posted by guardie on 02-02-2006 11:19 AM:

yet another Maven success, heh, gotta give them props for bringing us this sh*t, lol

Deffo one of the better release groups out there so whoever has anything bad to say about them really needs they're head examined, lmao..

As for this release i'll give it a 8 for video, 8 for sound and a pretty impressive 9 for the overall film, but i did like the original so nice to see a sequel to damn good vampire flick.
