Seeing this as nuked

NUKED 04/04/08_02:44:53 missing.region.tagging, which means the menu doesn't work.

Well the menu, buttons and extras all worked fine for me, no need to re-author.

For me it works fine, no issues with the menu.

Posted by ManOwaR on 04-04-2008 07:38 PM:

-Replica doesn't EVER put R1. They have a large amount of nukes for this reason.

no, it means since they didnt put NTSC in their rls name that it should be nuked...its a scene rule which is stupid...the rls is fine...just burned and flipped through, typical Replica rls....

v-10

m-9.9

great movie if you llike Lost

Well that is what i thought to be honest, the nuke title is pretty self explanatory, (but i read otherwise ).

Anyway like whats been confirmed, the release is fine.

Posted by ntscuser on 04-05-2008 12:57 AM:

No major issues. (Button 9 doesn't highlight automatically after the last extra has been played but I can live with that). I will assume that Replica has included all the extras worth having. Since the video is also untouched this is probably as good as a DVD5 version can get.

Movie plays like an unofficial sequel to "The Mist" but is better. The two together make a good double-bill. I loved the music over the end credits.

Video quality rated as "untouched"

10/10/8

Would have been alot better without that damn trendy handycam.Felt like it was too short also.

The only thing this movie has in common with Lost is the writer. The film itself is nothing like Lost at all - unless you count the fact that both have a "creature"...

Menu buttons for alternate endings and deleted scenes don't play. You have to play the VOB file manually to see them.

This is what happens kiddies when you try to be the first kid on the block to post about the movie WITHOUT having actually watched it first...

M = ? I started getting motion sickness so had to turn it off after about 20 mins.

Posted by mark3p on 04-05-2008 11:56 AM:

Alternate ending buttons work fine just click the ending you want and then click whether you want commentary on or off and it plays. Just like all other DVD extras.

V 10 (looks great, blu-ray will be immense)
A 10
M 8 (Not as great as expected but an entertaining hour and a half.

Menu works fine on standalone, which is what counts.

I've never posted WITHOUT watching releases first, lol and i'm far from being a kid.

Worked fine for me in both VLC and Power DVD as well as the standalone. PGCEdit trace mode was unable to find any navigation errors. Media Player Classic is the only software player I have which choked on the extras. I would say that was a limitation of MPC rather than this release.

Exactly. Same here, it all works fine. Tried several players. Besides, you definitely are not being a kid, your comments are far more sophisticated than those of most other people who post here

V - 10 - untouched, the original encoding shows no big artefacts even though the picture is cam with lots of movements

A - 10

M - 7 Better than what I expected but didn't totally sweep me off my feet either. Big MINUS on the both alternate endings, while you'd expect plot changes, they simply replaced some 'old footage' scene

Posted by Francis Frogb on 04-06-2008 12:49 AM:

V = how can you rate something that is supposed to look like its shot on a handheld DV camcorder ? even on Blue Ray this would look grainy.

A= 10....i could hear what was being said

M = 4.....proof positive that the hype didn't work for "Snakes on a motherfuckin plane" and it did not work for this. If i wanted to get travel sick i would have taken the Seacat from Dover in a force ten gale.......come on people.....just because JJ Abrams was involved doesn't mean it's going to be any good. After all, "Lost" was a pile of overblown shite..why should this be any different.

Wow what a great release. And I love how bloopers, deleted scenes, alternate ending and director's commentary were left in. Also a short featurette.

A: 10

Wow. A thousand Thanks to Replica.

Only bad thing is that you get a little sea sick at some scenes. I just look away a few seconds.

The monster is totally freaking awesome.

Didnt enjoy it as much as I thought a little short as well. Then again I hated the hold idea of other handycam movie.
Blair Witch Project style sucked, IMO

But thank you for the excellent release!

Video: 10
audio: 10
movie: 6 [I was expecting it to be much better. Basically they mashed up the blair witch Project and Godzilla into one movie!]

Watched last night with friends over and worked fine for me, even all the extras worked fine (the ones they left in). I was horribly dissappointed by the "Alternate endings" which were anything but alternate. Usually you would expect a completely different outcome of the story, but all they did was change the old footage. Overall though it was still a good movie, and everything worked fine on my standalone. No issues with menu buttons or anything. Thanks Replica, another fine release.

ignore any hype, and you get so much more from a film. One of the best films I have seen in a while. Bit too much "shake" at times, and as mentioned, the alternate endings were just filler, but great release.

Posted by errorxp on 04-07-2008 09:00 AM:

the quality is what you'd expect from replica. the movie itself was awful short (75 min) and only half of it was really entertaining.

Posted by curtis_costan on 04-07-2008 10:00 PM:

V-9 pretty good quality although i hated the amateur camera effects kinda made me dizzy
A-9 sounded great 5.1
M-8 very entertaining hour and a half pretty original movie.
