At Last

8/8/8

Small blur top centre a warning now and again and some warnings at the start.

Overall a nice dvdscr

property of text and blurred timer

A 8
V 7
M havent watched yet

Posted by shadow22 on 02-09-2009 09:06 PM:

If the blur in the top wasn't bad enough, the words "Sony Pictures Entertainment" appear every few mins in random placment. Sometimes left then right then center. Most annoying Property of ever! The quality of the video is mediocre at best. The Movie is watchable I guess if you can stand the annoyance. The audio is heavy on bass and very light on voice.

A:7
M:6

The video is OK considering the low lighting throughout the film. But you kind of have to wonder what it looked like before the XviD re-encode.

Posted by pomh on 02-09-2009 11:57 PM:

imdb says 2.35:1, this is 1.85:1, hm, maybe waiting for some sort of proper of this, the sides appear to be cut off, if i am wrong, somebody please correct me...

aside from the ar, there is text in the beginning that states this being a screener... i cropped off the top and bottom just to make it feel more like the 2.35:1 ratio, the same thing i did for that Righteous Kill rip some time ago that was also 1.85:1... hm... other than the words and that blurred crap, i guess if you want to watch it, watch it...

Thanks for actually having watched the whole movie before posting. Now we know why trying to be the first kid on the block to post without actually having a clue makes you look like a tool (anyone feel concerned at the top of the thread?)

Watchable, listenable,free,be grateful.

Thumbs up Trippy

Unlike the above poster, who appreciates a good verse, I pay for my internet.. so free is a relative term............

V - 7.5 felt like I was on an lsd flashback, not bad tho...
A - 7.5 not bad
M - dunno... just from sample....

If Sony sent this out to be reviewed to help its chances in winning an award or 2, why on earth would they destroy the experience with the crazy "property of"every 8 minutes ... the reviewers probably got as pissed off as I did and just turned it off.

Watched it all, watermarks and reminders do not bother me at all. For a dark film, the video wasn't bad at all.

The site doesn't require thew whole movie to be watched before posting. and trying to be the 1st kid on the block is not what im after, so your opinion is neither taken on board or wanted in the 1st place.

do you have a clue, really? nope. Thats why you never rated just ranted

I stand by my 1st post with 8s all round as this looked absolutely fine on my 120" dlp screen.

gezzer, because of the message at the start from Sony, its not a workprint but a screener for review .. if you take that ridiculous dead crow off your head you may see movies a little better.

only messin lol.

Typical work print and rated as such:

Audio: 8
Video: 8
Movie: 7

As stated, property of Sony Entertainment in big yellow letters every now and then and also in small white letters occasionally. Center top blurred water mark. Interesting story but not as good as the first two instalments. Worth the watch if you are fan of this series.

Looks to be the same source as the paul blart workprint. The warning at the start makes me think that these might be screeners and not workprints. I'm thankful that this one had the timer blured out. That drove me crazy during Paul Blart. The video is very dark. Even when they are outside and it's day time the colors were still very dark. This may be from bad encoding I don't know. The property of are not too distracting. The audio is good. No complaints.

The movie was alright. I liked it more than the second one.

Posted by Qumahlin on 02-11-2009 03:24 AM:

Why do people keep saying this is a WorkPrint, the movie clearly states its a screener.

Last time I checked they don't send out "screener workprints"

Posted by gezzer on 02-11-2009 08:49 AM:

It says for screening purposes not screener why else do you think they have workprint's to hang on the mantelpiece?

Ahh more dim dim's .

It is a workprint , screeners do not have post counters , they are used for editing purposes, at any rate i am able to block out the annoyances during a movie, colors were a little washed out , sound fine on my system so i rate

although i saw this one in theatres

8/8/8 thanks for the release,

Watching the whole movie is required if you want your comment to be at all relevant - which it was not, as demonstrated by all the things you missed.

And what did motivate you to rush and post before having actually seen the movie?

Every rating I post, I do AFTER watching the movie. You'd know that if you stuck around longer than it takes you to fast-forward through the samples.

I also used ConvertXtoDVD with no problems. Make sure you have the latest version of ConvertXtoDVD.
