just a little dark in the sample maybe its the way the movie is, audio has a bit of a hiss but its not bad enough to bother me thanks guys for the pre release

Looks very good for a TS. Picture is full screen , but ya , little dark. Sounds ok besides the hissing but i can get over it. Never heard of the movie before today but Sounds good. Thanks for the Release InR

saw the trailer in theaters a few weeks ago and i am very surprised to see this ts already, but even more that the quality is acceptable, especially if you count in the earlyness
pic is maybe not too sharp but has quite good colours maybe a tad dark indeed, sound is hissy but very understandable.

wow I was supprised to see this one online this early. Nothing seriously wrong with the picture, it is a TS. The sound seemed decent when played on my phillips standalone. The volume is lower on this one than most TS's so when u turn it up the hiss/buzz kinda stands out.

Video is full screen which I HATE and a lot of groups have been doing it this way lately. Just cropping the sh!t out of the sides. I can't stand it.

Audio has a slight hiss, nothing unbearable.

Other than the cropping and the questionable darkness, the video quality is not horrible. No blurriness, but not great

Movie ?

The video is pretty good, but full screen isn't for me, nor was it necessary that they did it. In the beginning of the film, you can see that they adjusted it. Based on how big movie screens usually are, in order for the camera to be directly in the center of the screen (as shown in the release), it would have to be up very high in the theatre (back row)? Which means that it would have been really easy to zoom out, for a wide screen picture.

The audio, however, I've seen this before. In the ESOTERIC release of Matrix Reloaded, a similar "hiss" was apparent in the audio. I've figured out that the "hiss" only shows up when there is little surround sound (music playing in the background ect...). In this movie, if you fast foward into the middle where there is some sound coming from all channels, it sounds somewhat normal. I think this release has a direct feed from the source but the theater has a crappy surround sound -> stereo (for hearing impared) demuxer.

Fantastic job on the earliness of the film. The movie is scheduled for release on September 12th -- just about two weeks!

Video is decent, a little washed out, but pretty good
BUT:: its the sides are cut off... pretty bad actually


Audio is good.. nothing to complain about, there is a little hiss, but overall its good and clear!

well the beginning is kinda sketchy, sound is bad, people standing in front of cam, but scanning a few minutes forward it looks much better. great pre, i loved confidence so hopefully this will be as good.

The picture is really tight, and a lot of the screen is cropped. The audio is OK, but goes to static a number of times.

Overall the picture is very dark, and the encoding is downright horrible, not to mention a continuous parade of people walking in front of the camera.

All said though, for a two week pre this is the kind of quality you expect. I liked the movie, and it is definitely worth watching when a better release comes out.

I tried like 10 times and it just freeze's on cd1 after 8 seconds, but cd2 is ok lol, Hope its just me but I don't think so. From what I saw its ok and we really can't complain, We have it almost 2 weeks before it comes out in the theater.

Well....what can i say ....i like nicholas cage. But this release doesn't do him justice. The movie was good with a nice ending. Enjoyable nonetheless.

video = 6.5 (too dark can hardly see their faces)
sound = 6.5 (scratchy and loud at times, but bearable)

Nice release guys, BUT too dark, all through the film you struggle to see the night time & dark parts

Well, I watched the majority of the movie. Yeah, interlaced, and really dark. Audio is good (no hiss on my tv) cropped to death. Definightly acceptable considering speed.

5.5 (dark, etc. but A: it's a ts B: this was fast)
7.5 (didn't notice hiss on my tv)
8: (I liked what I saw of it)

sample looks ok, not too bad for a TS, but the sound is pretty hissy. I thought this was ok because its a week and a half pre, and that maybe i'd get the release. But after reading the comments posted, i changed my mind.

The Picture is ok, but like other said it's very dark, and the hissing is annoying but it doesn't seem to go on throughout the entire movie.

I'll prolly end up ripping the audio and running it through a filter as well as running the video thru a filter to brighten it up then reencode and watch it.

Yeah it seems like a lot of work to go through to watch the movie but I'm impatient

Despite all that the movie was great, a little slow starting out but it picks up.

Don't bother with this release unless you absolutely can't wait another couple of weeks for the movie to hit theaters nationwide & a good quality release to come out.

I don't know what version the majority of the people are supposidly watching to give the video a 6 or 7. Personally, i think it is horrible, despite it beng a pre-release. The camera is extremely extremely zoomed in and there are constantly people walking and standing in front of the camera. I highly suggest you don't ruin what could be a good movie by watching this release.

Too cropped. Cage is in your face when watching in a standalone DVD - TV. Experience some looks like dropped frames on the video, sound was okay with the occasional hiss. Movie was great though. 6/5/8

and who cares if its early?!!! wait 2 weeks for a release that will give you more than 1/2 the picture and have audio that doesnt sound like its comin from yer pc speaker.

I do so love all the kiddies here.

Video's zoomed, cuts off a couple important things during the movie. Actually quite clear quality, but a little dark as with most silvers (that is, except for the overbright ones ). Sound was fine on my PowerBook, even piped through speakers.

Well done for such a pre ... bring us more of these so far in advance, guys!

Not a big surprise this movie came out a few weeks before its release, WB has been screening this like crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if Underworld & School of Rock came out a week or 2 early either... same may happen with Human Stain & Out of Time.

the movie was cool; 7.5

Video: Little too dark, not sharp, way too many people getting in the way. Watching a TS, you'd like to try and forget it's taped in a theater, but it's hard to when people walk in front atleast a dozen times. Just not a choice source.

Audio: The short bouts of static are really annoying, but atleast they're short. Rest is just average.

good movie too

Only just got around to watching this baby. Pretty good movie let down by a (slightly) below average quality TS...

Don't get me wrong, it's watchable but it has it's problems. The video is badly cropped and the audience all seem to be sporting afro's (towards the middle an old guy stands up and takes what seems like hours to get the fuck out of the screen). The audio isn't any better, you can hear what's going off but it's quite hissy and in several places you can't hear the dialogue for noise.

Not a brilliant release but the movie is pretty good (if predictable)... 5/5/7

Lotta great comments here that accurately describe this release. I just finished watching the whole thing. Yeah, it's a mess. Heads are in the way, it's too dark and very zoomed in. When I watch this movie again, it'll be like seeing it for the first time. THAT SAID, I enjoyed watching this mess of a release. The sound is pretty good, and I could always follow what was happening. I even figured out the "surprise" ending, which is rare for me. All in all, I'm pretty happy that InR put this out & pretty grateful as well. 5/6/8.

yea i gotta admit the movie was out fast!...but the movie had some downfall....like what everyone else said......the movie is interlaced, FS and the hissing sound is just annoying....im not trying to hate.......but thats the only thing thats bad bout this movie.....but overall quick release and a very good movie!...i think imma wait for a better release
