The Picture is a bit blocky & dark. Reminds me of a Screener blocks. The sound a little hollow & has left channel audio only. Overall .... i dont expect any big grps to release this movie for awhile , never know what suprised might happen though. This Copy is watchable untill a proper gets released.

Better to wait for a proper. I grabbed it because I saw in at a theatre yesterday and loved it. I just wanted to revisit some scenes right away.

horrible release... even thow nothin is pre'n this dont make it ok to pre this kinda shit but video is poor dark and blocky audio is left channel only and dont sound good to begin with. overall shit release 4/1/*

not quite as bad as every1 says. sure the quality aint that good, but ive seen worse mainly from ftf LOL!

video : kinda blocky like a scr as said before, kinda dark, but watchable

I got my hands on the silver I think they used but I haven't seen their release yet so I don't know for sure or not but on the silver I have it has just left channel audio. It looks like a cam to me and sounds like one too. The video isn't bad too bad except with a messed up AR and audio was hissy, left channel only and a bit hollow.

after downloading it and watching cd 1 release is very watchable and if the mono sound bugs u then just run it in goldwave
pic is pretty clean and audio is good also i say 7/6/8 for quality and stop bashing it till u watch it couse looks like a very good ftf release

and a very good ftf release isn't watchable ...

so on to my review, just finished out CD1, the audio is annoying, left channel only sucks, hissy, a bit hollow ... but watchable if you're really super bored and tired. The video is ok ... from what I've heard through the grapevine is that at fullscreen this gets really blocky, like a vhs screener, but on mine the "blockyness" isn't too horrible, maybe I have anti-aliasing stuck on somewhere or something ... I'm not sure.

so in conclusion ... I'd give it a 7/4/8 (so far movie is alright, Denzel is cool ... movie is ok, if I disagree with the 8 after CD2, I'll update )

As do I agree the release is not that bad and definately watchable. I haven't watched the entire movie yet but I have not heard any hiss. Sound is ok and not hollow. Definately better than having laughter in the background. Video is cropped but doesn't affect enjoyment of the movie.

I rate this as what it is.... something that I could NOT have attained myself and appreciative of having it at all.

Movie itself is one of Denzel's better movies from what I have watched thus far.

Ok, so i generally only surf the site & boards - but i had to post on this one.

First off, the movie was very, very compelling. Tony Scott did an excellent job on this movie - just like he has on the rest of his. This movie goes from a serious/sad drama, to a violent-killing movie...Denzel has done it once again..anyway enuff of that

Picture - 6 - A bit blocky, but the way shit is right now, it's definately the best we'll see for the next 1-2 weeks.

Sound - 4 - Sound isn't bad..little choppy, and left channel only..but i put headphones on, and it was a lot less noticeable.

Movie - 9 - Like i stated above, it was great. If you're too picky about this release - go see it at the theater. It's definately worth the $7 bucks.

Not much to say that hasn't already been said.. This has been NUKED for left channel only audio from most sites. Anyway.. Pic is not that bad. better than most FTF stuff and sound well it is audible enough. The movie is pretty cool though, so props to HABS for a watchable rls, but i think i'll wait for a better TS or a PROPER.. EnJOY!!

While it isn't the best copy of a movie I have even seen you guys need to quit bitching about it's quality, it’s watchable, the audio is easily fixed if mono isn’t you thing and the vid is so bad that your eyes bleed and fall out of the socket then go pay for the damn movie yourself, 6/5/7

Edit I’m getting sick of these lamers bitching about stuff they don’t understand, the movie was nice, it could've been better, but it also could've been much worse. I enjoyed the movie I don’t think I would need to see it again, as my roommate queried, "What is he supposed to be like the Mexican Punisher?" I laughed but the idea isn't too far from the truth. The rip was great for the first one out. No one walked by or blocked the shot in anyway; the quality was consistent throughout the release. Really if the movie is that bad don’t waste our time complaining about how terrible the group is (or any other for that matter), if it’s so bad you go and do better, ‘nuff said.

Not much to say its nuked but overall if not for the left channel only it would have been a nice first outing.

Overall the release is decent and very watchable.

After a few adjustments, its now on a dvd-r with visual enhancements, in stereo, and alot of bass and less static with my sound fix and filter. I rate my version

I thought the release was pretty good in standalone. Very watchable much better than other TSs I've seen.
Video - 7 (gets blocky only during fast motion)
Audio - 6 (that's because of one channel - but sound is direct and understandable.)
Movie - 8 (Very good movie)

Decent release that is watchable. Video a little blocky and sound is understandable, but is one channel only.

Vid is good, and audio is fine, perfectly understandable even with the 1 ch audio..

I don't know what the hell everyone is talking about, but this release is not NEARLY as bad as it was described in the first few messages. I'd say this release is about as good in quality as the "Hellboy" that was released by Centropy. It is a bit blocky in far away shots and really fast motion scenes, but not so much that it deserved to be trashed the way it has been. Colors are about right. Like I said, on a few fast motion scenes, video blocks up a bit, but not annoyingly so. It doesn't happen that much throughout the movie.
Of course, the main issue was the 1 channel audio. NO PROBLEM. I consulted a few people, and was taught how to fix it using a shareware audio editing program called "Goldwave", which I HIGHLY recommend to you all for future sound fuckups that might be on any releases. This program can convert 1 channel audio to 2 channel, and it can put audio on any channels where it might be missing. I wish I knew about this program back when the "Cold Mountain" screener came out. Anyways, I fixed the sound with Goldwave, then converted the movie to DVD format and watched it on my standalone. Everything worked out GREAT.
