Back from Fort Wayne Indiana

I have never been that far west, lol. I know it's sad I live in the next state over.

People were much friendlier in Indiana than in Ohio. Fort Wayne seems to have that small town feel. There were some beautiful women there for sure.

I was there one night and got to see a shooting star around 11pm, it was kind of bright, so I was shocked to see it cause of all the street lights and it was a very populated area.

I went to a business convention, and that was very informative. I'm not going to talk about that to much in here though.

It was a nice place, I would go back anytime. I don't think I'd live there.

Dude Indiana makes Ohio look like New York City lol.

Use to party a lot in Fort Wayne and the only thing good things I can say about it is that it's close to Michigan where I use to live/drive from and half the year one hour behind lol (Daylight Savings Time) so more time to party!

But I have to agree that people in Indiana are a little more laid back and therefore friendlier in general. Part of the appeal I guess and one of the negatives about living in a large Metropolitan area like Columbus.

Did you guys stop in for a few drinks and the view at Showgirls?

Nigga you've known my ass for over 5 years, You shoulda known this man.

Yeah I agree, You can compare Columbus to a city like NYC in relation to Ft. Wayne. Everywhere you go, well almost everywhere you go says WiFi Hotspot. Except for the hotel we were staying in, lol. That just goes to show how out touch Ohio is, Hell I even seen a Verizon truck that said they offer FIOS, what the fuck? Why can't 95% of Ohio get it? Only in the richie rich areas can you even think about getting FIOS.

I actually liked Fort Wayne, It was bit far north for my liking, Very laid back, people just seemed friendly. You don't get that in Columubs. Well maybe in a small town, I never visit small towns in Ohio, lol. I visit family once a year up north but that's it.

When I went to North Carolina. I was with a friend, people were waving as we drove by, Black people wore country boots and cowboy hats, lol. Totally different atmosphere.

I can say New York was more like Ohio. People can be nice, but in bigger cities they become assholes. I don't know why we just are, lol.

Hey now, I've been out of this Country, Well to the 51st state Naw seriously though Ontario Canada with ManCandy.

It was a very tourist area, Next time I go it's going to be further away from the main attraction. I would like to get a better taste of there culture.

Posted by David Cameron on 10-12-2008 06:03 PM:

Americans going to Canada is like Brits going to Ireland. Technically its another country but nobody actually considers it as going Abroad.

Para, come on dude, tell us more about the gaming retailers convention.

Agreed, that's why I said the 51st state, lol.

I was wondering if that question was directed toward me, cause I don't get it.

Posted by David Cameron on 10-12-2008 09:39 PM:

Ah. Must be a misunderstanding. Your 'business convention', was nothing to do with this then?

Posted by HoldDaSalad on 10-13-2008 12:41 AM:

Nope, didn't know anything about that dude.

Best answer ever for a couple of Ohio boys. Especially one who has never been further west than Fort Fucking Wayne, and had a life altering experience over it.

Experience? Yes
Life altering experience? Um ok, I guess having a good time is life altering? Where did you get that from?

Zooty why would I go to a comic book convention? I don't even read comics. I think the last comic book I read was.....Hell I don't even knowwhat it was or when. I was probably 12-16 years old.

It's nothing embarrasing. I'm just not to sure about it yet. That's all. I generally don't talk about my work on here anyway.

Do you intentionally misinterpret queries?

"It's nothing embarrassing", exactly what the Looter said. His query was that he didn't think you would deny going to a comic book convention, so he is wondering what the fuck you did go to and what you are embarrassed to admit to.

Me too.

Fort Wayne is a lot nicer then Columbus, but I hate big cities!

I had to move from a small town--most would consider in middle of no where to middle of more populated place...

Take me back to the COUNTRY!

All these yuppies and traffic STINK!

This I know, I'm just saying I'm not embarrased by it. I'm just not telling anyone about it.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

Don't leave it too long...it's fucking hard to get your head back into it when you're out of work for a while.

Took 6 months out when I got made redundant a few years back...'cept 6 months became 2 years. The redundancy cheque was phaaaat, so I wasn't short of finance. But when I had to start work again.... It took me 3 months to stop feeling depressed about having to get up and go through the same shit 5 days a week.
