The New Standard?

I couldn't imagine what these would even sound like. I haven't read up on them to much, mainly because there way the fuck out of my price range. I would love to test em out for 20 minutes.

I've got a pair of Sennheiser HD485s which are a good enough pair for me (I mainly only listen to HQ MP3s so even they are probably overkill).

You're joking right? The Bose sound like crap compared to cheaper Cans, lol. If you want a very decently priced Can for under $300 get the AKG's K 701 which is part of Harmon/Kardon

I don't think I could justify the cost of these Cans, but I would love to hear them when amped properly. Just to hear the difference between these and my AKG's.

I looked your cans up, they got decent reviews for the price. I prefer a more natural sound though. From what I understand the 590's 485's have a much warmer sound. My HD 465's had a warm sound and for some music they sounded great but I didn't care for them. I paid $60 for em and they were worth that for sure.

This statement just goes to show how ignorant you can be. Listening to headphones is a different experience, if your working on the pc, or just don't want to be bothered, or don't want to hear the woman bitching, or whatever your reason maybe headphones can be idea.

My home setup isn't the greatest, I have the Bose, not even sure what model the speakers are. I don't care. I want a better system but in the meantime there good enough. The Bose were given to me. The only reason I got them.

I found a nice Harmon/Kardon set I would like, Receiver and speakers for under a $1k just can't afford em right now.

When it comes to movies I prefer the home setup, for music headphones is the best option.

I also like to listen to my music loud as fuck and it's not nice to blast the fucking stereo at night.
