No joke. Watching right now. Rated as workprint.

M- not finished but the movie isn't either. Some FX missing. Some not. This is also rumoured to not contain director Gavin Hoods reshoots and runs 14min shorter than the final version.
Biggest leak ever?
Xmen 4
this is real deal
unfortunately some special effects havent been edited in but thankfully its only about 15 seconds worth over 3 scenes - the rest is there and GREATT!!!
"Aprils Fools?"
No, its actually a legit release and a very good one at that, however it contains many place-holder graphics and other indications it is what's written on the tin; a workprint.

This is a very early release that is 100% watchable, so major props to OPTiC for getting this out so quick. As others have stated already, I have also read that some special effects are missing from this workprint source.
Does anyone have a comparison of this release to the nDn release? They are both 1 CD releases (700MB), but I am assuming they are from the same source, hence a dupe should be given to the 2nd group to get it out? Please let me know if I'm wrong.

from the net....
Sure, it’s April Fool’s Day, but the early arrival of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” on the ‘Net is no joke, folks.
News broke yesterday evening that an early version of the much-anticipated 20th Century Fox film had been making the rounds online, and while that much of the story is true, there are a few aspects of the news that you should keep in mind before reconsidering your May 1 cinema plans.
According to various sources in and around Hollywood, the version of “Wolverine” currently available online isn’t the final cut of the film. In fact, the most notable story elements likely to be missing from the leaked “Wolverine” movie are the scenes filmed last — specifically, those that were re-shot back in January. That footage is rumored to focus heavily on Ryan Reynolds‘ character, Deadpool, who remains one of the project’s biggest mysteries — and it could be a mystery that the leaked film might not solve entirely.
Also, since all indications seem to point to the leaked version of “Wolverine” coming from an early test-screening cut of the film, there could be significant differences in plot points between the bootleg film and its theater-ready counterpart. Story elements that were considered too moody or upbeat might have been changed since the bootleg version was cut, while certain scenes that either said too much or too little about a character or story point could have been re-edited to present a dramatically different take on the subject matter.
Finally, the special effects are often the last element of a film to be polished up and receive their final “tweak” by the film’s creators. It’s no secret that the people behind “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” have been talking up the “bad-ass” vibe of Logan’s solo debut — and special effects are likely to play a big part in that bad-assery. (Case in point: that scene where Logan crashes his motorcycle into a truck in order to generate the upward momentum to launch himself at a helicopter. That’s a scene worthy of a final cut, in my humble opinion.)
In the end, I’m not trying to convince you one way or the other with regard to viewing the leaked version of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Simply put, it’s irresponsible to decide whether to support the film based on the bootleg cut without considering how different the leaked version could be from the final cut of “Wolverine.”
As comics fans, we’re the deciding factor when it comes to the “Wolverine” movie being “the best there is at what it does” — so even if you do opt to watch the leaked version of “Wolverine,” keep in mind that the money you put down for that ticket is power, and if you’ll pardon the mixed Marvel message, with great power comes great responsibility.
Excellent copy, thought it was the usual april fools joke. I wonder if this was sat on for a few days to be released today just for the irony of it.
Great release, mixing a few effects but nothing major. Nice to see how they made the movie!
9/8/8 movie was great, will pay to see in theaters easily!
A lot of great X-Men characters! Gambit and Deathpool are awesome!

Decent video quality, audio is nice as well. Lot's of SFX are not done, but some are there.
Anyone else noticed the music is taken straight out of Transformers? EXACTLY the same.
I hope this is just for the Workprint. Don't get me wrong, the music from Transformers was excellent, but why did they cheap out on the music for this movie?
I looked it on on IMDB it's not even the same composer.
This one getting Nuked? Saw a proper out.
Real deal - looks good.
EDIT: Really good movie, except for one of the characters.
great movie. alot of the fx are missing. I hope the final copy isn't changed much because this one was fine as it is. Though it need a bit more explanation for why Wolverine and his brother are immortal and half feral. I realy hope they didn't change the scenes around too much like Rob Zombie's hallowe'en. In that cause the original was better than the final cut.

Anyone notice that the ending credits are from the previous movie? Heh.. Like.. umm Halle Berry WTF? No wonder they ended up shooting more scenes with Ryan Reynolds.. The plot for Deadpool was strange.
Anyways.. 9/9/8.. About as good as workprint gets.. Especially for an action movie. Pretty good movie too.. a little dumb on the suspense parts.. Like OMG does Wolverine make it thru?

Think I will get this and archive it till I watch it at the cinema then watch it and see what changes and updates where made.
As Travisz said If we want more movies like this then we have to show Hollywood that they are worth making.

I really hope they put some decent effort in it and change it to something watchable, I´m not speaking of special fx - finished the first part and can´t take it no more for tonight, it´s dull, characters are too annoying, some scenes make no sense whatsoever, story is a mess ... well there´s still hope![]()
Several places the animation was not finished, especially near the end. But all in all great release and movie
9/8/10
One of the better movies I've seen this year
pretty boring movie overall.
the lack of fx in certain places is really not too too bad with the exception of the final scene. kinda neat to watch it as such though.
copy is great, i'm sure when it hits theatres someone will splice up something nice even if it does just pop up on p2p.

I'm not a hardcore fan of the comics or other movies. With that said, I was thoroughly entertained. The unfinished effects made it that much more entertaining. I've dabbled in digital animation so it was pretty neat to get a behind the scenes look as to how things get applied. (Remembering back to Hostel 2 WP and Stargate Ark of Truth WP).
I'll be interested in seeing how this turns out in the cinemas.

I look forward to the final cut's story line pieces. The VFX that made this cut were phenomenal. I can tell that the missing VFX will be even better. Absolutely amazing movie, totally excited to see the final product in the upcoming months. I'm a fan of what Marvel has done with their movies and I'm glad to see they didn't slack on this one.
I also was going to mention the musical score:

That's standard for a workprint; using incidental music from other sources (i.e. movies/tv shows/whatever the editor has on his iPod) while the actual composer is at work.

I agree that the story behind Deadpool could have been explained a little more.
The VFX that are missing are acceptable since they did add 3-D animation. Overall, I thought it was a great flick, really enjoyed it...TWICE

This movie was just awful. No character backgrounds on supporting characters. Gambit loses his accent by the end of the movie. Deadpool..... just sad.
obviously fx not done

As this is my first post here @ vcdq.com. Let me say thanks to all of those whose reviews have helped my d/l selection.

A. 8 (based on not being mastered. a lot of "worrble" in spots)

I hesitated for a few days before getting this release due largely to the views of the members here. The movie has some potential and hopefully will be pieced together better for a final cut. I was dis-appointed but it is a "workprint" so based on that, my A/V scores stand and will wait for the finished piece. Cheers.
