Same source, so you wont find much of a difference.

video touched up more and nicely detailed...but still that damn timer....same source just with a nice touch up to make the screen less grainy and more crisp..

7 video would have been a 9 without the timer
9 audio is stronger...don't know how they did that.
10 movie was great saw it yesterday...in theaters.

watch at the movies first and then download or it will ruin the effect.

Yet another reencode... nothing to see here, move along...

Posted by dopeuser8 on 05-21-2005 08:27 AM:

cd3 is definetly out of sync for me.

All this talk of sync problems makes me wonder if the original source has some sort of problem that's carrying over to these other releases.

Posted by snozzler29 on 05-21-2005 08:49 AM:

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn

0/0/7

lack of effort expected more of an effort and not another encode of a poor source

Maybe that's the reason for the internal?

Posted by the_boss0012004 on 05-21-2005 10:05 AM:

not had the sync issue as yet but definatley much improved from the blocky checkered workprint version but yer the annoying clock is still here

wandererer22: I thought that too, but I compared with the visa vob's, at around 02:36:20:00 this one is not in sync, but the visa one is fine. I would have checked more but that was good enough for me. Delete!

Posted by stezo2k on 05-21-2005 11:32 AM:

yet another workprint, not worth getting if you have any of the other releases, this is the same source

7/8/6

Posted by moby008 on 05-21-2005 11:59 AM:

same source again??

sound is a bit louder, I noticed, but still saw the counter on top

7/7.5/8

Posted by SaabZ on 05-21-2005 12:18 PM:

Pointless release

Slight improvement on video but other then that theres no point in getting this

All i can hope is the real groups out there get a new source and put an end to this rencode crap saga

1/1/8

bastards

stop copying and make your own...credit should be where it is due

Ya dont waste your time on this:

Has the same flaws as Mobster's rls.

CBR Encoded Mpg2 2059k
Out of Sync at the same spot when C3PO sez "I Feel So Useless" repeat scene, near the end of CD2
CD3 is all out of sync
Black Scenes
Repeat Scenes

Blah Blah Blah

Too bad too, video looks good. Bad part is there was no editing off ViSA's ISO.

I'll stick with SG18 one, no sync or editing problems. But I'm still waiting for a nice TC.

Posted by Lord_Nykon on 05-21-2005 03:27 PM:

Another rencode of the same workprint??
Why do they keep rencoding the same workprint release.
Give it a break already and let someone else take a stab at
a GOOD release of ROTS.

Other than that
Video is the clearest out of the three.
Synching issues though as stated above.

Video 6
Audio 6
Movie 9

Posted by prnybk on 05-21-2005 03:48 PM:

this has been nuked out of sync and repeat scenes

Posted by EViL-EWoK on 05-21-2005 03:50 PM:

good try.
7/7/8

atlest they tried to make a better rls

No credit is due here, Period. No offense POT but useless/worthless. And Yes, It's Free But Only So Often Can Someone Use That In Defense of A Release.
1/1/9.5 (Sync Issues As Well, Could Be My Player.)

If you really want to see this movie, I highly reccomend you see it in the theatre. Movie is worth every penny.

:: useless rant

anyway as to the release i haven't watched it all but from the few rars i grabbed the vid is sharper than others and sound is more crisp if you don't have a release and are trying to decide i'd go with this one.

7/7/9

Would have been great if they had put a little more effort into it (ie: edit repeat scenes, etc). But it is internal so who am i to judge. I just keep waiting for a proper thats better than the one i made the first night the DVDR dropped, but it ain't happening. What is with all the goddamned problems people are having with this release; im no jedi encoder but thought it was a breeze to fix (AR, Grain, repeats).
And to the WP haters, id take this over a TS or even TC any day of the week and couldn't of asked for a better copy of this so soon, flawed as it is.
From CD1 8/8/9 (assuming it stays in sync the whole release)

Finally, someone read the INTERNAL bit instead...

Somethin to think about

This release has caused such a problem (being leaked from Lucas HQ) that i think some groups may be holding off on releasing there stuff. In NY the newspapers talk like this is the first movie released to bootleggers the day it cam out. but it is getting a lot of coverage.

by the way Pots release is a lil better but not worth it on limited bw

6/6/8

Posted by paleh0rse on 05-22-2005 05:18 PM:

all of these workprint releases make baby jesus cry...

not a big deal, as im a patient man, but i do really hope that the big boys get a TC out ASAP. this is the only way ill get to watch this movie anytime soon, so im sitting here waiting with fingers crossed...

5/5/? for the sample...

This is much better version, of hte other release, the touch ups made it well worth it for me because i hate static and noise in the background, I will live with this. WHy does everyone want a tc over this? The colors are just rite, pot's version makes the picture look great, so waht if there are 2 or 3 repeating scenes. The quality is near dvd, the timer can be lived with. This kinda reminds me when the hulk workprint came out. Only there were more problems with it and everyone kept complaigningabout a tc, I still havnt found a tc that looks better than this workprint or a dvd screener (( excluding saosin's unleashed release)

Posted by Pra3t0 on 05-22-2005 06:21 PM:

POT's release has more compression artifacts than ViSA's DVDR release. Maybe due to SVCD compression, or maybe POT did a crappy job with it. But the AR is correct on this whereas ViSA's is not; even with the circulating fix.

Posted by Broemvro on 05-22-2005 08:01 PM:

I have had no problems at all with this release. No Sync problems and the counter doesn't bother me at all. For you first experience go to the theaters but for the rest this should cover the addiction untill the dvd is out

Posted by lynxthecat on 05-22-2005 08:28 PM:

:: stupid rant cut off, behave!

Video: 7 (would have been a 9 without the timer)

Audio: 7 (haven't checked disc 3, so I can't really say)

Movie: 8 - "IT CAN'T BE THE LAST!!!!"

This release is one of those to have just as a collector, but I wouldnt recommend this be the copy you use for your veiwing pleasure.

Video: 7 (very pixilated)
Audio: 7.5 (Good for a WP)
Movie: 8.5

Based on what this is, ( An internal re-encode of an mpeg1 workprint)
V: 9
A: 9
M: 10

Sorry for the long ass post.

I don't see why everyone is complaining about this release?
The reason why people aren;t taking another "stab" at it because this one is good enough. If you don't like the release take 7$ and see it every friday like me.
