quick look at sample
and
not too clever , quick but maybe too quick
audio is'nt bad seems direct but picture (for an animation) needs some serious adjustment
looks like filmed thru a net curtain or similar (lolol)
decent effort but animations usually come out clear due to colours
based on sample v-6 a-7

Just a warning ahead of time....

Turn this thread to shit and your posts will be edited, deleted, made to say gay shit about your past, or simply your account banned.

Keep it about the quality of the release, I don't care what you know or don't know about Hortonquality, his family, heirs, or pets.

Fast release, props on that. Audio is good too. The downfall--video. It's pretty blurry, which is too bad cause it would be a nice release otherwise.

Posted by moviedvdfreak on 05-18-2007 05:03 PM:

V 5 (very blurry and rough on the eyes)

A 8.5 (audio is actually very good)

M ?

will wait for better rls based on video

Posted by Mailman on 05-18-2007 05:04 PM:

Awesome for such a quick release. The sound is good, but hissy yet better then a cam. Video is watchable, but it is very dark. If you really want to watch it and can't wait, here you go. If you can hold out for something better I'd would. The others are right, for a cartoon it's not as good as you'd expect. For me it's kind of too dark even for a regular movie also.

V-6
A-7
M-9

Posted by HoldDaSalad on 05-18-2007 05:07 PM:

From the sample, audio seems spot on, Video isn't clear, I threw the sample on my tv and turned the sharpness down, and it looked aight.

I plan on watching this since the reviews for this weren't favorable at all. Average at best, So I don't want to waste money on it. I've seen to many average movies recently.

Quite how this is getting a 7 for video quality is a complete mystery. Take a piece of frosted glass to the cinema and watch the movie through that. It would be similar to this horrendous release.
Some of you turkeys need heavy duty prescription lens'.
V--2
A--5
M--? Sample watched.

Notice how the numbers appeared after this warning, instead of the lengthly, mis-spelled, crap-assed editorials.

V=4
A=8
M=?

Posted by jicjak on 05-18-2007 06:34 PM:

What a bummer. Good TS sound, great color, and a very quick release. But that blurriness is bad. Someone mentioned kids should still enjoy it though.

5/7/?

Had to watch it anyway. Actually more listen to than watch. Busy doing work and glanced up from time to time. Not the best Shrek but still very good. 7.5

Posted by SaabZ on 05-18-2007 06:52 PM:

mVs releasing as HortonQuality!!
Well to be honest i would with a poor release like this to save face and save a beating
Hey maybe you could proper yourselves

V/4.5 Way too blurry like everyone says totally spoils the flick
A/7 MvS audio has always been decent and this is on par for them
M/? Theres no way i am going to watch this with the blurry video

rather tame there mate!!

I rated earlier... but now i saw the whole of this rls... Reencoding with some sharpening filters makes this so much better.. the audio again is nice...

im going at a 3rd pass at the movie to sharpen further (im bored)

the movie is a bit of a let down... #1 was good #2 was great, and at this point, i just hope #3 has a dvdrip 1 month after rls like Shrek 2.... either way, it doesn measure up to its counterparts...

vid: 4 before adjustment around 6.5 atm

audio: 8.5 ish

movie: 7.5 and the .5 might be giving too much props... it just didnt do what the 1st 2 did for the grownups

Posted by figgy on 05-20-2007 12:01 AM:

I reckon FiggyQuality would sound better. Maybe this release should get nuked for using a crap "release group name?"

4/6/6

Horton you legend

Posted by HBx2000 on 05-20-2007 01:57 AM:

v=6: fuzzy, but at a distance with DivX sharpening filter on.. it's ok
a=7: nothing fancy, could hear all the dialoge quite good
m=5: funny if you are a kid and a big Walt Disney-fan

Personally, i think Shrek 2 is the funniest one, 'cause of the first part where they do a parody of famous movies

Posted by danimal39 on 05-20-2007 04:03 AM:

would expect better from animation! 3/7/7

Posted by ol_perfesser on 05-20-2007 08:00 PM:

Obvious Russian source, slightly out of focus/blurry all the way through. At least no twit factor. Adjusted WS to slightly brighter and to a lot sharper, and it was watchable, as if I took my glasses off. Nice touch to go a long way into credits for song at the end.
Audio was nice.
Movie was 3rd of a franchise, ok, it didn't have to be too good.

5/8/7
