Sample looks great-- even the audio is strong. PROPS TO FTF FOR UPPING THEIR QUALITY. I count about 4 straight FTF releases without a dog among them.

Decent quality, but next time, make CD1 burnable to a CD. It's too big to fit! Why do one CD 850 mb and other 350? Split it somewhat even so you can fit on CD's. If you're not going to make it even, atleast make them no bigger than a CD. Thanks for making me spend the extra time splitting the files.

Newbie? LMAO! You definitley don't know what you're talking about. Ofcourse I've heard of overburning, but this file is 850MB's in mpeg form. When you burn in nero you have to overburn over 50MB's! Now, i can understand a few MBs or minutes on a CD, but 50 megs???? I don't want to watch it that bad that I would risk overburning that much and possibly damaging my burner. So now, you shut up, smart ass.

850meg should burn fine

Question Which Version???

I've seen both Versions on VCDquality the A-Team and the FTF. Both have a good picture quality. But which one is better, or which one would you prefer?
thx for replies,
I cu

someth1ng has a point here. For instance, my burner fucks up when i have to overburn, so why the hell cant they put more on the 2nd CD. It's pointless. Anyways, the quality isn't that bad, too blue for my taste but maybe thats just the way the movie is. With the scene going down the shitter this is the best we have to look forward to.
7/5/?

man you are one hell of a newbie if i ever saw one

your the only asshole in history to complain your cd1 wont fit on a cd lol

you ass, learn to burn

Posted by ^Om3n on 09-08-2002 08:05 AM:

When burning a proper VCD (not a data cd) it goes by minutes NOT size. You can fit 74 or 80 minutes of standard video on a cd assuming it is standard VCD and not xVCD.

Uh, I don't know about you guys but my CD1 is 1hour 12 minutes 33 seconds. Plenty of room evn on a 74 min.... No overburning required.

[I hate taking cheap shots, but this was waaaaaaay too easy here and it was already on -- thanks Omens... Lesson learned: disconnect your keyboard if you don't know wtf you are talking 'bout. Stick to using the mouse. No one get's hurt that way. Thanks... I guarantee that would be muchly appreciated by all those who read this forum for news on VCDs and don't wanna sift through ten tonnes of shit trying to find out if a rls is good.]

ftf has been kicking @$$ lately...i just wish they could fix their sound...video is great for pretty much 0-day stuff, but their sound could definitely use some help.
7/4.5/?

Actually, in Nero, CD1 comes out as an XVCD and requires 83 minutes to burn so he has sort of a point. But that could be a Nero bug so I wouldn't blame FTF. I also had to split mine to get it working with no overburning.

Finally, someone that knows what my problem was. It could very well be a nero bug because it did say it wasn't a stadard vcd when I tried to burn as well. This very well could be not FTF's fault; it's nice to see I'm not the only one with the problem. Like I said before, decent rls from FTF. Thanks to all the nice peeps that flamed the shit out of me for my comments. I was just stateing my opinion on the rls and problems I had. This is what the forums are for I thought. Next time, before you go ape shit on someone, maybe find out if the person maybe right or what you can say to help that person out. I didn't attack anyone until I was for only stateing my opinion to make others aware before they leech and try to burn and find themselves in the position I was in. All this flamin shit was totally uncalled for and things like that ruin these forums and destroy their purpose for being here.

Ok, i just finished watching this

First of all CD1 is 72.5min not 82.5, however, the bitrate is slightly too high making it xVCD hence the problems in Nero. Just grab TMPEnc and drop the bitrate down to 1150 like it should be for standard VCD, you will loose a little quality, but it should be very minimal.

Quality on this release is fairly good, nice video however the sound is kinda scratchy and gets annoying sometimes, but you forget about that if you get into the movie. Movie wasn't bad, not the best either but worth the watch and the bandwidth imo.

7/6/6

Thanks! I already burned it by simply splitting the CD1 file and putting some of it on CD2, but this will help with any future problems I may have like this. Thanks for the help man, much appreciated!!

Video is ok , sound sux , but is watchable . I rate this one 6/4/6 . And for the peeps haveing trouble burning , this is a bin and cue realese fireburner burned it just fine

Posted by THE_DREAM on 09-11-2002 03:01 AM:

it seems like yall got some comp now hehehe

Posted by synchron on 09-11-2002 06:28 PM:

BTW, splitting a VCD compliant MPG in Tmpenc almost always causes it to be XVCD and obviously, the bitrate really doesn't change from its 1150K quality. Nero adds more time when burning non-standard but other burners (i.e. Roxio, WinonCD, etc.) don't and can handle these split mpgs a bit better. It is my belief that FTF's version is split so it would be a waste of time to re-encode the file to Standard since it already is standard.

I never deal with the cue file. I always download and unrar to the bin and then use isobuster to get the mpg. Then I always add a menu in nero which usually contains a jpeg still from the movie.

My 2 cents. synchron.

I freely admit I am kinda noobish when it comes to this stuff but I burned the FTF CD1 with CDRWin and it burned it fine.

Also from the quick run thru I gave the movie the quality looked really good and I am impressed with improvements FTF has made in their captures of movies.

watched ftf's last night i picked it over a-teams, since my ftp gets every release, but i had to delete a-teams, ftf good job

Good flick, quality's watchable.

6/5/8.

Posted by Saywhut on 09-22-2002 05:54 PM:

the sound is really bad... i had to adjust the treble a few times and still couldnt find a good pitch. it was hard to hear what they were saying.

the video is watchable.. nothing special.. a decent bootleg i suppose

6/3/5.5 (for a deniro movie)

Posted by DrSeussFreak on 09-23-2002 07:04 AM:

OK FTF Listen UP

CD-R's tend to be not able to fit 832mb onto 1 cd, so when u r making the sizes of this, remember 700mb = normal cd-r, or 80 minutes... plz remember this... it didnt take long, but i had to extract the movie, vut it then reburn it...
