Talking Wrong Turn is out this month!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been championing this movie since the end of last year. And now, it's well and truly almost here!

Yeps, you heard right. FOX have moved it forward from October to May 30th, unfortunately us UK peeps won't get it until November 21st 2003. So looks like FOX fucked up bad and won't be getting my money.

Oh, in other news, there will be NO trailer. The MPAA rejected THREE different trailers saying they were 'too intense'. Instead FOX are now going to fill up TV spots.

I can't wait for this movie!!

Anyway check out these sites:

Looks kinda cool. I probably won't go to the theaters for it, though, despite being in the US. I might change my mind if there's a nice trailer.

This looks bad. And I don't mean it in that Michael Jackson, circa 1987 Bad way either. As far as Awful Movies, with Hot Chicks go, I don't even know if this would beat Charlie's Angels.

That's the problem, there won't be a trailer. The MPAA effectively banned it. Three of em even.

Right, I saw you mentioned that, but does that ban mean nothing will appear on the Web either?

Posted by spikeddem on 05-04-2003 12:42 AM:

read the plot on the official site....it seems lame.....but hell its gory, full of swearing.....AND there's hot chicks.....so it has to be good...

thats why i loved Evil Dead 3!(cant remember if there were hot chicks or not)

Remember when everyone said House of 1000 Corpses was so fucked up that New Line refused to release it? Then some of us wised up and realized they didn't release it because it was a piece of shite.....

Same principle here. I think the less people see of this movie beforehand, the better off it'll do at the box office.

Six fucking people, and none of them have a cell phone?? I'm suppose to believe that?? They're in a Range Rover, and the main character is in a refurbished Mustang covertible, and none of them can afford a cell phone?? It's 2003 people, not 1983 when cell phones cost $3000!

Bad plot hole, sticks out like sore thumb to me. But I'll probably still dld it for the gore and horror factors though.

looks like a movie with some possibilites. 70's horror movies are cool, and think this might be a good way to bring them back.
cant wait to check it out.

Posted by SpYdeRv1o on 05-10-2003 06:28 AM:

Right now, I'm not that interested. When I see the trailer, I'll make that vital decision. heh We'll see, the plot is eh, and the only person I'd like to see is Dushku. (Not for her acting skills.)

*Matrix soon!*

Werd.

There isn't going to be a trailer.

Posted by rel|ik on 05-16-2003 05:14 AM:

i saw the preview for it today on t.v
looks like a kick ass movie.

Posted by Mystic Slippers on 05-16-2003 08:47 AM:

AHA!!!!!! So the TV spots have begun!!! Yeah prepare to see it basically 24/7. With the theatre trailer being banned the studio will have to go all out with TV spots for it.

There's still no trailer online though, that's a great shame. Still, not long to go now!!!

Posted by Mystic Slippers on 05-16-2003 08:50 AM:

Woohoo! An update, i went and checked at the Wrong Turn fansite, someone has capped the TV spot so all us Non-US folk can see it too.

It's not available yet, but keep checking www.wrongturnhype.com to see when it is out to download.

BIG EDIT!!!: the first EVER clip of Wrong Turn is now online, along with an interview with Stan Winston and Eliza Dushku courtesy of the sexy Fangoria!!! click this link to see it!

I didnt look at that 'clips from the movie' link, but this link has the restricted trailer. I don't see why they restricted it, it doesnt really show any violence, but it does look like a really cool movie.

Posted by Mystic Slippers on 05-28-2003 03:09 PM:

YES!!!!

THE BANNED TRAILER HAS MADE IT ONLINE!!! You have to click a couple of boxes first to state you are over 17 and stuff, it's a redband trailer, the movie is rated R, so i'm pretty much sure the DVD release will be NC-17.

Anyway, here it is, the trailer ya wanna see!! One part actually genuinely made me jump coz i had it up loud lol. Thanks for the link 404.

seen the tv ads and a trailer here or there scattered around the net cant wait for this one comes out on sunday

Posted by CcZ on 05-28-2003 09:22 PM:

Damn the girl's hot. I'll be seeing this sometime during the weekend, looks good!

Posted by Rep- on 05-29-2003 12:59 AM:

The movie looks alright, but I don't think I am going to see this one in theaters. Every other commercial break, I see a damn trailer for this movie, it's getting quite annoying. First couple times I actually watched the differnet trailers though, it looked ok, but not great. Looks like just another crappy movie that will recieve negative reviews from every major newspaper in the country on Friday. Maybe after a good quality release of it, my mind may change though.

Blame that on the MPAA for banning all the theatre trailers.

I'm going to see this in a couple hours, I'll report back later tonight (don't worry no spoilers) with my opinion on it if anyone cares...

I saw it and it has some gore but I actually saw it for Emmanuelle Chriqui(?) ....... I've loved her since "100 Girls".....

The movie had a similar plot to house of 1000 corpses...actually it was very damn close....
