The video looks great, a little dark but crisp also, I dont wanna say overcropped because it isnt that bad, but peoples faces in certain parts are cut off at the bottom. It really isnt noticeable unless you've seen the film in the theatre though. You do also see some flicker here and there.Nothing that gets in the way of enjoying this release though. The sound is so so but I have no complaints, actually never mind the sound is much better than most of what he have been hearing lately. Its quite good..Only one I have is that this release is mislabled. It is a ts.No doubt about it.It has some ghosting also there is an obvious tilt that you clearly see in the begining credits.I dont know why its so hard to for some of these guys to tell the difference between the two.

lol telecine my ass, this has been on bittorent for like 3 weeks before it came out, that was done in french with french audio all they did was add american audio and its a ts to top it off. pathetic! as a tc video is a 6, audio 8 and movie ownz. as a ts video is a 8, audio 8, movie still ownz.

Good movie..

but lets get the facts straight.

nuked : mislabelled TS

Sorry to say but it cleary shows its has a hollow audio, dark video and flickering picture, and cropped. Good try, good movie, bad interpertation.

Posted by zerobyte on 09-13-2005 07:41 AM:

In my opinion the audio does not sound hollow in the least bit.

Posted by Airhead2 on 09-13-2005 07:42 AM:

As mentioned the opening scene of the movie looks to be on an angle , i dont know if its the scene or a tilted camera (havent seen in theaters). The picture is dark and the colors are a bit faded (facial features), there is minimal flickering on the screen, and its a bit blurry. Also the fast moving scene's have motionblurness and ghosting frames. Sound seems a bit loud on my end but no complaints , sounds pretty good compaired to the CAM audio we been getting latley.

I dont understand why groups like NBP , PRODiGY and now SCOPE dont label these how they are ... TELESYNC. Mabey they got in their heads they will be cool if they mislable (everyone wanna be like FTF)! (or) mabey they just know that in recent weeks/months of releases .. its now a *take what you can get on the world of online downloading* Sites , Usenet , torrent .. wherever dont care if it says DVDRip , if its watchable noone cares what the title says anymore.

Just my opinion , if pride mattered anymore and these groups actually labled properly like it was "TELESYNC" , this copy would rate with the best , Centropy , TCR , VideoCD , maVen , SAOSiN. Im sure they (SCOPE) would be getting mad props if they labled TELESYNC. Of course they didnt , so instead everyone is gonna flame them and in some cases nuke them ...

... till next "TC"

As a TELESYNC:
8/8/?

As a TELECiNE:
6.5/8/?

Posted by djcyrax on 09-13-2005 08:23 AM:

mislable ts but still the best release of this movie

for a tc 5/5/?

Posted by Longveiw on 09-13-2005 09:21 AM:

I'm thinking the same thing. It does look like a TS not a TC. There is definitly a tilt, and since I noticed it in the begining, it was bugging me the whole time. I can't remember the last time I saw a TC with a tilt....

TS 8/8/?

TC 7/8/?

Posted by demolitia on 09-13-2005 09:46 AM:

FBi a TS would prob not sound hollow either... you're talking about a cam...

video's a touch dark, but alright.

Come on....

...at least have a good source when trying to pass off a TS for a TC. This is so obviously the same source that has been dubbed in French/German/Russian that has been floating around everywhere. The English audio is good, but the picture is dark, and has slight motion blur. Not a bad quality TS, but definitely needs to be brightened. The original source on this was from the French TS, and it has been muxed with English audio. I didn't see any sync problems. I was waiting for this release to come from NBP though. Scope is following their lead.

CATBOX

As TS:

7/8/8 Lots of action, and over the top stunts.

NBP have done a proper. from the sample looks to be heavilly cropped. a ts not a tc. although it is still very good quality,as a ts 8/8/?

Posted by LaX on 09-13-2005 08:18 PM:

unnuked: ar is fine and nbp is cam audio or really bad audio with interference.

it really does look like a TS.

the NBP proper one also looks like a TS.

Movie not worth watching unles it's free and almost perfect quality. Only half the requirements have been met.

Posted by protekt0r on 09-14-2005 05:23 AM:

Aside from the noticable angle/tilt, this is an EXCELLENT telesync. Very watchable. After about 5 minutes you don't even notice the tilt anymore. Sound is good too. Colors are beautiful and it doesn't look dark to me at all. Definitely not a TC though.

As a telesync: 8/8/7

Without a doubt, a TS.

6/8/6

Posted by digitaldt on 09-14-2005 06:08 PM:

the movie is undoubtedly a TS. no dispute about it. no TC has a tilt.

second, the movie itself blows. i saw it in the theatres on the opening day and it got booed in the end.

Posted by D0BB0 on 09-14-2005 06:08 PM:

its a ts ar looks fine to me.

maybe royal and nbc do just encode other releases have on this one anyway.

Posted by DocVW on 09-17-2005 03:26 PM:

Telesync...Telecine....more people are worried about what it is than how it is.
After watching the entire movie on my 65" WS, this is my comments:
Movie is dark, almost too dark at points.
There is pixalation in the dark and faster scenes.
The AR appears to be fine as far as people do not look distorted, however, you can tell from the opening credits, the movie is way overcropped and from an angle (as mentioned)
Sound is very good.

This release almost reminds me of VCD quality.

V=6
a=8
m=7

Posted by pjfan281 on 09-17-2005 06:52 PM:

watched the sample and abut 10 rars. release seems to be fine. this "angle" is hardly noticeable at all. i honstly had to watch scenes a few times just to know what the hell you guys were talkin about, and i'm still not sure i see it lol

colors look pretty good, sync seems good.

not a tc though, so i rate as a ts:

8.5/9/unwatched

Posted by weedchemist on 09-19-2005 04:12 AM:

pretty good TS, cropping on bottom (due to subs i spose) french source not a tc... i mean you see motion blur in the beginning credits, but a nice picture none the less, and the sound gets wierd during the end of the 1st cd, gets high then low but only in a couple second spurts and only 3 times i believe, hard to make out some words tho... but this as a ts is 9/7/7 exciting movie the 1st has it beat on storyline tho

this rel is good for watching on the pc, tv-out but problems start when i tryed to watch this on DVD (Manta) i get error "bad
resolution" or something like that

Posted by Yoshitaka Ama on 09-22-2005 03:42 PM:

why all the ts named as tc?

if your going to do that then at least fucking use some filters, cuz this looks like it got shit on. there is no way a tc could look this bad unless they got a telecin machine that had a basball bat taken to it.
horrible 5/7/?

Get the version labeled.

It is the best out there. Full wide screen. All of the movie including beginning 20th century screen and all the end credits.

My 2c, Better than this one.

problem playing this file

Just downloaded this movie, but I can't get it to play. I'm on a mac. When I try to open it with VLC or Quicktime it just plays a blank 3 video. I've downloaded countless codecs (including SVCD) but to no avail. Any ideas?
