from the sample...

v - 9 spot on, nothing wrong there
a - 8 could be just my shitty pc speakers, but it sounded like it crackles a bit when they were talking, didnt hear any hiss and the sound is in sync.
m - still to watch

Posted by Grannd on 07-18-2007 02:54 AM:

m 9 crisp and clean
a 8 line good
m 7 doable

well what i watched {the sample} movie looks great and sounds great. i will wait a few days to see how many versions of this release will be put up. don't want to download three copys like i did with Mr. Brooks. by the time "REAL"came out most sources stopped posting it.

Nope its not.... its just u

LMFAO Harry Potter gets a higher score for audio than this very kick ass release......very funny lol

Posted by y0usei on 07-18-2007 05:15 AM:

i watched it all the way thru and found no real problems. (the only thing to note is some foreign audio during the credits, but that was long after the movie was over so is basically negligible.)

the video is about an 8 and the audio is prolly more like a 7(maybe 6.5). as for the movie its kinda silly but entertaining so...

V ~ 9
S ~ 7/8, isn't sound a bit out of sync let's say at 4.30? when he's talking to the guy about the brazilian wood. sounds comes less than a second earlier than the lips move. nothing to worry about though
M ~ haven't seen the whole thing yet

Posted by Cruxshad0w on 07-18-2007 05:52 AM:

The video on this is nice but the audio is not so great. This is def the best version out to get by far. But it isnt perfect.

Video: 9
Audio: 6.5(dont let this throw you off..its good, just not great)
Movie: My opinion on the movie doesn't matter, Just the quality.

video - 9 - perfect as usual what more can u expect from a dvd source ?

audio - 7 slighty faded at times ..

movie - havent finshed watching

Posted by jibi on 07-18-2007 06:20 AM:

It's a great release, but PUKKA should REALLY abide by their own tagging convention. This is NOT an R5 retail video source and should not be labeled as such. It should be labeled a damn good Telesync and nothing more.

Evidence can be seen in this screenshot with the visible fingers or someone turning off their camera.

http://img483.imageshack.us/my.php?image=peazz5.jpg

Not even a Telecine would show someone's hand. Oh well, next time, perhaps.

V: 4 (based on R5)
A: 7 (based on Line)
M: 7 (Bruce Almighty was better, but this one had it's moments; plus I have a crush on Lauren Graham)

quote:
Û Tag: R5 Example: Moviename.R5.format-group ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Description: Any R5 retail with english audio will be tagged as this. ÛÛ
Û In the past R5 with english audio has been wrong tagged as, TC (ex: ÛÛ
Û The.Departed.PROPER.READ.NFO.TC.XviD-ZN), DVDSCR (ex: ÛÛ
Û Trust.The.Man.LiMiTED.DVDSCR.DVDR-BOOM) and DVDRip (ex: ÛÛ
Û The.Matador.2005.DVDRiP.XviD-HLS). ÛÛ
Û We want to cut this bullshit, and just tag as R5, not as dvdrip, ÛÛ
Û just a new category: R5. ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Tag: R5.LINE Example: Moviename.R5.LINE.format-group ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Any R5 retail, which hasn't got english audio will be synced ÛÛ
Û to DIRECT LINE english audio and tagged as R5.LINE. In the past these ÛÛ
Û have been tagged as TC (ex: Crank.TC.XviD-ZN) and DVDSCR(ex: ÛÛ
Û Ice.Age.2.The.Meltdown.DVDSCR.XViD-DaNK). ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Tag: TC Example Moviename.TC.format-group ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Any illegally produced non studio telecine, should be tagged TC. ÛÛ
Û ÛÛ
Û Basically we are sick of whats happening, somebody has to make a ÛÛ
Û stand, just look at the whole pirates of the caribbean mess! ÛÛ

Definitely an R5 from where I'm sitting and a decent one at that.

Movie is not worth the hype it got state side but it's a good family flick anyway. Worth a look.

i watched this last night...and the movie is pretty shit

v - 9 no problems here
a - 6 has a slight hollow sound to it, but still watchable
m - 2 had its moments, doesnt compare to bruce almightly, glad it was only 1h22min long...

Posted by Nakedlunch on 07-19-2007 06:25 PM:

Okay, now that we know how the movie sounds on baby speakers and crappy computer monitors, here's a rating on a *real* TV with a grownup's sound system.

V: 7 (a bit saturated but good)
A: 6 (tinny AM radio sound)
M: 5 (silly but fun)

"Finally, somebody said it!"

Whenever somebody notices poor audio quality and admits it must be their shitty speakers, and then some other person retorts, "yes, it must be your shitty speakers because it sounds PERFECT on mine", I can't help but imagine that other person watching the movie on a 13 inch CRT and giving their "insight" to someone who admits their $500 Home-Theater-In-A-Box may not be the best.

The audio is hollow, tinny, and DOES crackle. Those who are using the built in speakers on their TV can disregard this comment. It'll sound perfect to you.

8/6/5

Posted by OSH on 07-20-2007 10:28 AM:

Good but not the best R5 that I've seen. Can't fault the quality or the sound.

V-8
A-8 (through headphones and for what it is, line).

yes audio is pretty shitty. couldnt watch it on tv from my mediagate player, had to convert it to dvd and it fixed it a bit but the whole movie is out of sync...like 0.01 sec. nothing major but quite irritable.

one more thing....people who watch samples and post video audio ratings should better watch the whole movie......or "sounds bad on my computer, going to convert it into dvd and it will be better" bloody convert it and than post your results for god sake. stupid people irritate me.

Video fine, Audio sounded fuzzy but clear.
