Nice rip again TCF. Too bad it is subbed (pretty big too), and has a small but not really noticeable blur for the serial. sound is nice too!

keep up the great work!

Great release, especially for the dutchies (subs are in dutch.)

Posted by bryehn on 07-12-2003 01:19 AM:

groupo numero uno, in this kid's book, anyways...

sample looks/sounds great...where are all those people that say ctp's TS's look like screeners? is there anything TCF can't do?

subs are a little big for me, will wait for retail.

Another surprise from TCF....
but..... like they said in their nfo, subs are hard coded which really sucks, but if you got to have it now, here's your chance

picture is good
sound is good
movie is up to you....

8/8/5

Posted by SplinterBone on 07-12-2003 01:27 AM:

Hell the subs don't bother me one bit, won't ever need another copy of this. Thank you TCF

I bought the Godfather Trilogy way beofre it was rls'd on dvd, and Part 2, and 3 are subbed, but hey the movies were cheap, and I have no problem with the subs.

hahah man dutch....makes the movie even funnier... It would be better without subb though... But still a good early DVD RELEASE WHOOHOOOOOO!

Posted by overksam on 07-12-2003 11:44 AM:

havn't seen the sample yet, but to me the jpeg image dosn't look like a dvd? silver? ... and why are ppl giving ctp's version better grades on the image? *scratches head*

Posted by boringdave on 07-12-2003 12:02 PM:

Would choose this release over the CTP TS any day even tho its got SUBS & serial blur. The CTP release wasnt their best work either. Dont see how CTP has got higher votes.

8.5/9/6

Posted by psyche on 07-12-2003 12:32 PM:

Just finished watching the full release, after reading all of you complain about the subs I almost didn't check it out but the subs aren't as big or annoying as most of you put it, blur is also not too noticeable except when it bleeds the subs. Top notch quality also, nice release TCF. 9/9/9 One of Jim Carey's funnier films.

Posted by gjac1 on 07-12-2003 05:11 PM:

Another great TCF screener, thanks guys. Picture and sound are both very clear, the subs are pretty big but you kind of forget about them towards the end.

8/8/9 (very funny movie, his best film to date for sure)

Posted by MQ-James on 07-12-2003 05:49 PM:

I've watched the sample, I think it almosts looks like a TC, but a very good one, idk though, it is very watchable

8/8/7

Posted by Dµpe on 07-12-2003 11:19 PM:

1-0 to person who predicted next 2 screeners from TCF would be bruce almighty and matrix reloaded.

8/9/7

because the rating is based on the release source, not the release itself. u can't compare a DVDSCR to a TS because they're different things.

The dvl rlz is it better? or about the same? diffrence betweem tv and computer screen?

Posted by bryehn on 07-13-2003 09:18 PM:

DVL is TCF's XVID partner...same source, just encoded to xvid for PC use...

Wink Bruce The Great?

I hve taken a look at this sample, it doesent look like a real dvd source if one should ask me... But it is very nice thoug, but i have seen better. The subs arent that bad, but i understand the feeling it gives to the other users here (some of them at least) Great movie thoug... Real funny. 7/7/9

Posted by verde11 on 07-14-2003 03:51 AM:

bounce?

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone mentioned the picture bounce in this release? (It's much more apparent during the opening credits.) I'm not even close to an expert in this, but how would a dvdscr have a bounce in the picture? I could understand a vhs scr, maybe, but dvd?

Posted by lo.pro on 07-14-2003 09:03 AM:

i'm sure that the reason people are questioning the source, saying it looks like a TC, is because the process they use to blur the serial number involves a colorspace conversion, which will result in some loss of quality. i think tcf is usually pretty candid about the source type, they usually ramble on for long enough in their nfos anyway heh....

yeah the movement of the words in the beginning is kinda dizzying, but when the movie gets going its very good quality, but it doesnt look the same as say Confidence dvdscr or Cradle 2 the grave (for example). must be the mastering or somethin, but it still is better than a tc so ill give it 7/8 (for dvdscrs its not one of the best). still great job guys ill be watchin it tonight.
