just looked at sample, video looks pretty good, a little flickery some motion blur but over all nice... audio has a little static, thought it would be worse then it was by nfo saying audio was unclear, but was able to understand everything just find... all in all a good release, doesn't hit theatres until 2 more days so looks good especially for a pre.

Keep up the good work MPT.

was so surprised to see this here forgot to rate officially:

video: 7.5
audio: 6.5
movie: ??? will find out later when it's done downloading.

Posted by firefighter on 12-24-2003 09:42 AM:

FullScreen , for a first copy of this movie this is pretty good. Colors were excellent and no pixelation noticed , has a bit of dark flickering. The Sound has a *little* hiss to it but nothing major. Gonna be hard to PROPER this release. Great Job MPT on the release.

8/7/?

Wow MPT Comes through with the goodies once again, I like the chick in the sample she is nice , Movie is nice fullscreen like a screener and sound is nice and full hope it has no bad biths through the film, but all in all a great bit of work.

Gonna rate this one high Cuz I like the chick in the sample.

7.6/6.9/ <<< ---- Edited it cuz I watched a bit more of CD1

Merry christmas Fuckers

The video quality was good for a prerealease but the audio sucked but what can you say its a prerealease...

7/4/?

Posted by lkzsky on 12-24-2003 10:45 AM:

4 in audio ?

what can u say prerelease and u gave 4 for the audio ?

i'd say 8/6.5/10

Posted by Liife on 12-24-2003 10:49 AM:

Very nice, 27 hour pre. Can't get much better than that.

Video: Not crystal clear, but not blurry, its parte average. 7.

Audio: Slight hiss, but hey, its a telesync. Loud and clear besides the hiss, why break suit? 7.

Movie: Well, Bennifer and The Bride. The coolness of Uma balances out the metrosexuality of Ben. So I'll probably snag this. ?

Video is above average but looks a little zoomed tho.....but still nice nonetheless.

Audio has a hiss which seems to get louder in some places but is no biggie.

Nice rls imo.....

End of cd2 abrubtly ends... while affleck is talking
Get an equalizer dudes You can get rid of most of that hissing
Other then that, good early release

Nice First Outting...

People stop bitching about the picture..its fixable..the faces do look alittle long so what...fix it..with TMPGEnc..format to 16x9 and there you go a svcd format widescreen version..too bad you can't filter the sound..it will remain the same..

video 5...for a first time outting its ok...but its a cam. should have been labeled as one. From the moment is starts a head is in the bottom right corner that later moves to the left and gets bigger. At the end of the move the camera falls and people get up and start walking out of the theatre.
audio 6...tired of the static in and out. but its understandable and at sometimes sound direct but isn't ..
overall a 5 on this release..only because its the only one. but its a cam with alot of misleading flaws..picture would have been much better widescreen and without the damn head and shadows walking through it. sound is ok..the static isn't that bad..Good try MPT but you guys suck even more now. another blockbuster ruined by your hands....Last Samurai, Cheaper By the Dozen movie and even the damn lotr return of the king..the best movie ever.. minus Haunted Mansion which was actually good.copy.

why fix it? if we have to start fixing releases, more shit will be released, cause it's 'fixable'
not only that, but im lazy. I'll wait for someone else to release a proper, a group that already 'fixed' their release

video is so so on this. slight bit of flash, and the elongated faces make it seem like the cammer was close to the screen looking up, and a bit zoomed in. decent colour. Someone's head or shoulder is continuously visible in the bottom right corner (in sample anyway)
audio is indeed rough. Reminds me of InR releases, with a tap running full blast next to the cam. hollow and tinny
not worth 'fixing'
6/4/x

yeah you are lazy..not to keep reading..
because I said to the people who were bitching.. I took the time to convert it that way..and it is better looking..and I stated that the audio couldn't be fixed..so what its sucks..its a damn cam with alot of shadows and annoying heads...

why are we discussing this poor copy.

yes, video in telesyncs are captured by a cam, how else do u think it would be capped? the way the video is captured has nothing to do with the labelling of a ts, the only difference between a ts and a cam is the way the audio is captured, a ts being from a seperate source, wheter it be a headphone/hearing impaired jack, dolby/dts disc, etc. a cam's audio would be capped from the mic on the cam, or a professional mic, either way its not a direct source.

/end lesson

LMFAO hahahaha that one is a keeper....hahahaha.

and I still stand by my original rating upon watching the whole moive.

7/6/6

It's not too often you see a head in the sample. And the fact the camera falls (which I haven't seen yet) makes this one a classic for all the wrong reasons. I still wanna download the whole movie just to see that.

but overall damn nice release

Posted by bl0ss0m on 12-25-2003 03:47 AM:

Video is great for a first release, sound has a hiss sometimes but I can deal with it (I live off VHS) movie was pretty good.

They head thing makes it authentic like you are really in the theater

7/6/8

Posted by slaz on 12-25-2003 05:00 AM:

theres a loud hiss at the start of the first disk, but it gets quieter.

the movie is fine, and is certainly watchable.

A couple of times the movie picture screws up a little bit, like an encoding error.

Just to clear up what some people on this thread think, which is absolutely incredible to read, this is a TS and NOT a CAM.

either way props on the pre public rls and the quality. This will be fine untill a scr is available.

Just got done watching this rls, and John Woo has done it again. Its not as action packed as some of his films, but the story was excellent.

The movie was stretched out of proportion. It was 4x3 and squished because it was meant for 16x9. If the program your watching it on can put it back to the right aspect ratio it looks fine. The sides were a bit chopped off from the capture, but it didn't detract too much fom teh movie past the first 5 minutes. The only real problem with this release was all the heads bobbing through the movie constantly.

Posted by StYlEz_P on 12-25-2003 11:36 AM:

ummm just watched it and i gotta say mpt did an ok job with this . The audio was sub-par but not terrible and besides the peoples heads in the theartre showing up from time to time the video was half-decent as well . I'd say dl this if you are like me and couldent wait to see it but if u like quality u should maybe wait on a better release it is screener season afterall. But good pre mpt 7/5/8

anyone notice the dots on d2 on frames 31219-31221

Posted by MinisterSiniste on 12-26-2003 12:59 AM:

This is zoomed in WAY TOO MUCH. The colors look really good and it does not seem pixelated much on the standalone. The audio has a hiss which you can get used to. Some heads walking around and such, but that is not too bad either. The big problem here is the full screen, way zoomed in and the off center framing. I think you'd be missing way too much of the action in this flick by watching a four foot square in the center of the screen instead of seeing the whole thing.
I'd wait. I only watched disk one.

"FIXED" mine by re-encoding at 16.9 and did a simple de-hiss edit..... as for the bobbing heads and the guy with the weak bladder going to the john every 10 mins it was and still is a damn good PRE

Posted by oo420oo on 12-27-2003 04:58 AM:

Video is just ok. The angle makes the heads as long as the screen! I hate that!
Audio is so so. Hiss problem remedied (to some degree, anyhoo) by my EQ.
Overall movie: meh.
I guess Ben Assfleck went to the Keanu Reeves school of acting, eh? I thought his performance was sub par; wooden if you will. And Jon Woo can do better...

Nice Video except all the damned heads/people popping out and the really annoying head on the right. Sound was decent except it had glitches like The Haunted Mansion. I just can't believe this many people can't hold it for 2 hours. When I pay to see a movie (especially a good one) in the theater I want to watch the whole thing. Movie was pretty good too.

6.0 (with heads)-7.5 (without heads) /7/8

I have to rate the video and audio high. I thought it was a great job, crystal clear, aside from two things that I am not counting against the rating. The people getting up, stretching, putting on their jackets, etc were annoying, but the group had no control over that. Also the fact that it was full screen with some major crop damage. Imagine if they had zoomed out, how many more people would have been see jumping around?

Audio was good TS, major hissing at the very beginning of cd1.

The movie itself reminded me of a weak 'Minority Report'. If you liked that, than this is it's weaker half. I have yet to see a Ben Affleck or Matt Damon that I could say that I really enjoyed. I like them together, apart, they always have a role that just a little too sensitive.

Posted by Red0ut on 01-02-2004 06:58 AM:

movie sucks

this movie sucks, the quality in my opinion and audio both suck, but that is because I only like the dvd rips anyway. But anyway that does not matter if this was crap quality because the movie totally sucked and had some really horrible acting in it, but again if you watch a movie with shit quality such as vhs screeners or telesync then you are actually ruining the movie for your self and your not letting the movie have a chance.

Posted by EclipseGSX on 01-03-2004 11:34 PM:

Re: movie sucks

Anyway...
Audio: 6.5 -- Could use some polishing, and there are recurring moments of annoying static/interference (especially through a nice stereo).
Video: 6 -- Noticeable angle, cut off left/right, picture stretched to 4:3, people playing musical chairs up front, etc.
Movie: ? -- I was "distracted" too much while watching it.

Posted by JohnGoodie on 01-09-2004 12:43 AM:

juding from the sample only.... I don't really know about this one... its kind of choppy, fullscreen cropped, angle... blah... 5/7/?
