We've got to forgive them? Fuck, they didn't have to release this shit at all .. it's 2 week pre-theater for us .US people, and probably 3+ month pre-screener for everyone else. Original release was fine imo, major props MOViE. One of the better movies i have seen in awhile (and damn! it was a remake). I'd give at an 8..i enjoyed it a lot
*sigh*
It opened here last friday in the UK.
The world doesn't revolve around the US.
Yeah i know .. but still
Great movie too .. you should check it out if you haven't yet
Yeah, some teething problems, but probably just over enthusiastic about getting this source,
Speaking of the source, it looks too high quality to be from standard VHS, maybe SVHS, dont know really, but i wouldnt waste time with the repacks, i cant see how people wouldn't be able to play the first one, the header was changed and it was authored as VCD, so it should be ok.
can't see how this is screener. the picture is too clear and sharp.anyway, if this is a screener and they managed to get it as good as this........then well be in for a few surprises.
well done boys for this release and i wouldnt feel guilty for a few mistakes as nobodys perfect. good to see you made an effort to correct the prob though.
the movie is great quality in both picture and sound. grab this one as you won't get any better

Heard about this screener about a week ago, glad its made it to the 'scene'.
Just shame about the teething problems, like they said, shit happens.
Nice rls tho, 8/8/?
what was wrong with the 1st release wouldnt mind knowing as im just getting that now
this is a workprint guys
watch it, some of the scenes look unfinished lol
great quality but its not a screener.
movie is nice. good colors, well 2 repacks so 1 good one out of 3 ain't bad. sounds nice and clean.

alfie screener
Excellent quality both pic and audio. Never mind the earlier mistakes shit happens and this kind of quality is well worth the wait. 9/9/6
I don't get it... why was it nuked & repacked twice?..... out of sync? or just screwed?
read the nuke reasons
POST WAS ERASED
nuke: mislabelled workprint
examples:
Last 2 minutes of CD1 of the repack, shows green screen
9\6\8
Cant ask for more for video quality, but the sound is in a bit of a mess (on all 3 rlses). It reminds me a bit of maven`s collateral, where the background music would drone out the speech in a lot of places.
Not complaining too much for obvious reasons though, although in hindsight i would of not bothered to d\l the repack.
Great first rls though Movie, good luck on future ones

nice release..
Watched this all the way through tonight. Absolutely a workprint. No question about that. There are scenes where there are special effects missing, and the sound is a total and utter mess. There are parts where you can't hear what alfie is saying over the music, and there are parts where the sound mix changes completely (ie there is background noise on one cut and no background noise on another shot of the same scene).
Not MOViE's fault but they could at least have labeled their release properly.
Movie isn't as great as I was lead to believe.
9/6/6
yall smoke that shit????

is there anyway to fix the sound?
work print 100%
its ok has a few parts in the film where sound is a little dodgy and a few effects missing where it gos green.
other then that its fine.
Pretty good release, and fast. Judging by the whole movie I would give the video an 8.5 and the audio a 7. The audio is good and clear but the music drowns the voices out at times.
very nice rls from this new grp, lets hope we see more of 'em

Just telling it like I see it.You don't like it ? Why should I care!
lamers
Would you lying sacks of sh*t shut the hell up. Its a f*cking workprint. Those of you yammering on about quality this and color that need to actually watch the damn thing. Stop trying to sound like you have elite access. Your posting about how great the film is, truly shows that you don't know shit.
[EDIT:: And people question why I post the rules in every thread? Maybe if we start banning a few of you instead of threatening it, the message will sink in! Wave goodbye to "viper359" - Neversoft]
LOL, if he actually had a point in what he was saying then it would make sense, though he should of put it better.
Apart from the slightly distorted sound, and the Green screen bits (which make me laugh anyway) i still stick by what i said about this being the best VCD screener/workprint ive
ever saw, ive stopped bothering with Screeners recently, but if they all looked like it would be great.
funny!!!
cya later viper it was fun not knowing ya!!
i guess he was banned for not making sense lol
quality seems nice to me but ive only seen half watch the other half tonight!!!
Don't know what all the problems with CD1 is, I was able to override the corupt file and make the DVD still. Great quality for a release now on the screens.
V-7.7
A-7
M-7
great quality...... this early in well done MOViE
Hey and who gives a shit if its mislabled... yes i agree this isnt a scr, a workprint for sure but so wot?
get this release cos it wont get much better till a dvd appears!
will watch tonite..... 9/9
p.s as already mentioned ive got slight glitch problems after encode.... anyone else getting this?
still not to moan............... its free and fast right!

One Day The Dead Shall Walk The Earth.
Just watched the whole thing 10mins ago, good film.
Quality wise:
Picture: 9.5 for me (best screener I've seen in a long time)
Sound: 7 ish (bit fucked at times, as has been said)
vcdquality has ruined me for release dates. The other week I was mentioning "Saw" to people and they had no idea what I was talking about. This week I mentioned "Alfie" to people and they once again had no idea what I was talking about.
Obviously the source is excellent, but the low bitrate hurts the video a little. Two repacks and the sound is still messed up where the music will overpower the dialogue at times. No biggie.
The movie itself is better than lots of the crap out there, but still wasn't anything special. Generally, the use of voice-over narration or talking to the camera means either the writers don't know how to write or it means they think their audience are morons. Often both things are true.
Unfinished green-screen scenes should be left in every movie. It adds to the amusement.
8/7/7
good release and great movie.
8/8/9
