Too many of these threads on the forum....

1500/256 @ 26.99 USD

160 kb/s max down
40 kb/s max up

I'd go to the 3000/512 (for an extra 10 USD) but they say I'm about 20 ft outside of the required area. Fuckin' cunts!

I'm essentially unmetered for £39.99 with metronet, might be worth thinking about.

rated at 8mbit but they keep doing "line upgrades" generally my downspeed ranges from 600KB/s to 1.25MB/s (gotta love ati's driver downloads). my upstream is a constant 125 KB/s up but if you abuse it too much the isp will slap you with a cap at around 16-17KB/s. service includes usenet access that they outsource to giganews, updates headders around 600-800KB/s and allows 2 threads to download @ around 250KB/s total.
I pay around $50USD a month and am very pleased with my isp ( Optimum Online, ool)

And they will also get another 40GB free PIPE/WIAX traffic Shame im not in a ADSL2+ area :'( But i have 1.5Mbit/256Kbit 50GB limit for $50 and get 155K down and 27K up

Officcially I've got 4000/512 (kbit) which makes 500/60 (kbyte), but I get like 900/40 (kbyte). Fair enough for €48,- per month, which is like $60 I think.

Posted by Lord_Nykon on 04-25-2005 09:39 AM:

fuck man. I gotta get on that band waggon. Im in NSW regional so it should be AU wide by start of next year. AU's fastest service connection at the moment on ADSL is 1.5mb/256kbps which I am on. I get 170kbps.

So AU is well behind on America with 17mbps d/l. But to hear we are gettin 24mbps/1mb for that cheap is fuckin incredible

If you read this. Got any info?..what people are doing that (eg Optus)

wow. What connection are you with and whats something like that set you back?

Posted by dstrac99d on 05-08-2005 03:41 AM:

well, sure thats quite fast..i have reached speeds of 9.87MB/s+ but thats just asking for my isp to come cut my service..so i stick with their top speed cap(about 17mbit/s)..
if i need to download a very large file quickly,i sometimes connect an extra modem(or more) and use wingate to combine the bandwidth..

Posted by carolinawolf on 05-08-2005 06:25 PM:

Belgium:
Got 4.6Mbits/356kb

I get around 300-450kb downspeed (depends on the time) and a constant 25kb upstream

an I pay €30/month,

her in Belgium it's hard to get really fast connection. The maximum that you can get (for regular people) is around 10Mbits down and 3Mbits up.

Wished I lived in Sweden, that lovely BBB connections.....
