Freya - As the Last Light Drains
Freya, Consisting of:
Karl Buechner - Vocals
Darian Lizotte - Guitar, Vocals
Corey Koniz - Drums
Bulldog - Bass, Backing Vocals
Erick Edwards - Guitar
A few of these names may look farmilliar to some of you.. thats because Freya consists of 3 former earth crisis members.. Earth Crisis in my opinion.. paved the way for acts such as Hatebreed and Chimaira..
the new project.. is a style.. sort of different than earth crisis.. but not enough different to say theyve abandoned their roots..
the vocals seem much more progressed than earth crisis..
the album from start to finish is very good.. i enjoyed it immensely..
i believe if people would give it a chance.. this album and its style.. has the power to bridge the existing gap between metal and hardcore.. and make everyone just fans of good music again...
krazyfoo.. id like youre opinion on this most
stand out tracks...
Glasseating smile
Dead in her eyes
Throw rocks at a drowning man
Daisy cutter
all together i give this album a solid 4/5 one of the better new albums ive heard in a while

I was rather dissapointed in this release..maybe becuase I love the older EarthCrisis albums.
Karl's vocals are always great, some of the best in hardcore.(besides his singing..)
It really annoys me/saddens me, that a great HC band had to jump on the nu-metal train to crapdom. Its better then Slither..but it still aint workin for me
if only Kris Wiechmann had been able to stay in the band way back when.....
i dont think they "jumped on the nu-metal train" and i think people often sling that term around too generously when they find out other people like a similar thing...
anyway.. if they did anything with this album.. it was combine the 2 sounds to create a new.. sound..
