just watched a bit of cd1 and this finally looks like the real deal. honestly the pdvd oldies version was actually quite amazing looking. very good telecine but if you compare that one to this dvd retail at the beginning black and white segment, you will see the difference.

the MPT one is true black and white, no color at all while the telecine oldies release has a tint of brown to it and you can see random rainbow color shimmering around the edges when everything should be completely B/W.

also the encoding is a bit better on this one, on fine details such as at the beginning when the villagers are running through the forest with their torches, you dont see as much of the mpeg compression artifacts in MPT vs the Oldies release.

so after ~10 releases this looks to be the final, well as long as there aren't any screw ups in the rest of cd1/cd2/cd3.

Video is good, nothing amazing though. Sound is great. Movie is good... a little over the top though.
