Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea occupies the eastern part of the world's second largest island and is prey to volcanic activity, earthquakes and tidal waves. Linguistically, it is the world's most diverse country, with more than 700 native tongues.

Some 80% of Papua New Guinea's people live in rural areas with few or no facilities.

Many tribes in the isolated mountainous interior have little contact with each other, let alone with the outside world, and live within a non-monetarised economy, dependent on subsistence agriculture.

Little was known in the West about the island until the nineteenth century, although traders from Southeast Asia had been visiting New Guinea as long as 5,000 years ago collecting bird of paradise plumes, and European explorers had encountered it as early as the sixteenth century. The country was named in the nineteenth century: the word papua is derived from a Malay word describing the frizzy Melanesian hair, and "New Guinea" (Nueva Guinea) was the name coined by the Spanish explorer Yñigo Ortiz de Retez, who in 1545 noted the resemblance of the people to those he had earlier seen along the Guinea coast of Africa.

Peaceful independence from Australia occurred on September 16, 1975, and close ties remain (Australia remains the largest bilateral aid donor to Papua New Guinea).

A secessionist revolt which claimed 20,000 lives raged on the island of Bougainville from 1988 until it was resolved in 1997. Autonomous Bougainville recently elected Joseph Kabui as president.

Can we have a Q&A session relating to Papua New Guinea?

Specifically, I want to know what noise the women make when deep throating and I'd also like to know how to ask for a deep throat in all 700 tongues.

The sound made is very distinctive although it does share similarities with the sound made by the underage ladyboys of the Chiang Mai region of northern Thailand which I know you have first hand experience of.

Asking for deep throat can be tricky, simply saying yoshy pronounced YO SHEE is the only way to ask and the pronunciation is the same throughout the island and is the same in all dialects. However there is also a word 'Yoshé that means you are offering yourself for sacrifice. Since the two words are pronounced exactly the same you run the risk of being sacrificed to the tree gods and eaten alive. Worth the risk? Your choice.
