Converting DVD to XViD
I've been doing a lot of searching and it seems AutoGK is still the recommended program for converting DVD to DivX/XviD. Is this correct?
Also most of the AutoGK guides involve ripping the DVD with DVDDecrypter. Isn't DVDDecrypter outdated now? What should I use to get the DVD onto my hard drive?
Thanks for any help!
ripit4me in conjunction with dvd decrypter works fine, you need the dvd decrypter for ripit4me to work, it's basically an add on for lightening's decrypter. it was also banned due to using dvd decrypter which now belongs to the government
The support forum was also taken down which was a shame as 1 or 2 disney films had over 100 vob files and they couldn't deal with it at the time so they requested the logs and updated it,also deatl with the new protections like aarcos etc and was a good site too

Neither RipIt4Me nor DVD Decrypter are updated any more. You need the latest version of DVDFabDecrypter which is the free standalone version of DVDFab.
I use PGCedit with the PSL plugin to cleanup files which have already been ripped. This includes a surprising number of scene releases!
With ripit4me i haven't run into a problem as yet but will give that dvd fab a go and see what it's like
